Bra shopping. It’s got to be up there with jeans shopping and bathers shopping in the top 3 things I LEAST like to hit the shops for. After you become a Mum, the boobs you were born with, or at least the ones you knew before you had kids, become total strangers. They’re a totally different size and shape, ones suddenly a bit bigger than the other, or hangs a bit lower so finding bras that fit, are comfortable and look great can actually be quite a challenge.
Let’s just talk about size. Cmon, hands up, who’s ACTUALLY had themselves PROPERLY measured up for a bra? Or are you still running with the same size you wore 10, 15, TWENTY years ago?
Well guess what. Bra shopping doesn’t have to be that bad, and actually you don’t even need to leave your house to get advice on what size you are, and what styles and shapes will work best for YOUR body.
Hellooooooo DeBra’s to take the arghhhh out of bra shopping
Two KiA Mums Roxy (Mum of 2, size 14E even though she thought she was a DD) and Ash (Size 12E and Mum of a teeny tiny uber gorgeous 6 week old) recently tried out the online shopping experience at www.debras.com.au and we were both VERY happy with the result, and so are our boobs.
The first thing you’ll notice on the DeBra’s website is the RANGE, the huge range of styles, colours, shapes and SIZES! Sizes 6-32, A-K cup. You can select your size from the dropdown and it will show you exactly what’s available to suit you.
But what if you’re not sure about size? NO WORRIES! One of the friendly and very knowledgeable team are more than happy to chat with you via the live chat function on the website or even ZOOM call you to help you work that out!
Ash took them up on that offer and it was so easy to set up, using the chat function on the DeBras website or by calling them, you can set it up however you want! With our Zoom call, once the meeting was set up we received a call from one of the lovely fitters. The virtual fitting took about half an hour and took place in one of the DeBras fitting rooms, so it was nice and private and there was a no chance of anyone walking in and seeing what was happening. Both the fitters were absolutely fantastic and knew their stuff! They went through a range of questions and with the Zoom call, they were able to see exactly how our current bras were fitting so that they could give spot on advice.
We’re pretty sure the team at DeBra’s could take a sideways glance at you across a table and tell you straight up you’re wearing a bra that’s 2 cup sizes too small! They know boobs and they know the bras to fit them.
They came back with several options and clearly explained the ins and outs of each bra, plus a recommended size, so we were then able to shop online in our own time later (including at 3am which is prime online shopping time at the moment, during night time feeds!)
There’s over 30 brands on offer including Berlei, Freya, Panache, Triumph and more. There’s bras for sport, every day wear, maternity, post surgery, padded and strapless. Bras to push up, bras to minimise and even bras to help with your posture! They also have a great range of swimwear, underwear and shapewear.
We received products from DeBra’s for the purpose of this review however as for all reviews from Kids in Adelaide the above is honest and in our own words.
