Breakky rolls, brunch and burgers – food for the soul we reckon!
Ok, this is good vibes, kick arse, clean, but tasty AF, food. Especially the burgers. These dripping fresh explosions of flavour are so good that you’ll also find them in our guide to Adelaide’s Best Burgers. Double whammy. We PRIDE our selves on our burger research [Tim is surely close to finishing his Doctorate in burgers?]
Seriously though, when we feature a great family eat, and we love them so much that we want to put them *all* of the places on our website – y’all know it’s damn good.
Happy first birthday Cheffy Chelby! Chelebrating this June!
The prices at Chelbys are almost too good to be true. We asked Michelle about that, and fell in love with the answer. It was something along the lines of ‘as a single Mum, I want eating here to be affordable for more people, while also maintaining an excellent quality, because I know how hard that is to find’. The story of her fast and super successful pivot after losing employment in these covid’y times blew our socks off. After only a short time with this actual wonderwoman, it was plain to see she’s full of talent and determination.
So, you get the idea, we think the place and the people are awesome.
If you haven’t spent much time in Port Noarlunga, it’s a dreamy little beachy village vibe in Adelaide’s South – a real mixed bag and a complete banger in all seasons. There is a lot to explore (epic beach obvs) and there’s food joints here from simple to fantastic to pretentious and over priced. This place is none of those. It’s nourishing, bloody tasty food, and it’s just REAL.
The banana bread and coffee will never be forgotten, the kids options and smoothies were a massive hit with our crew and yep, we pretty much ate our weight in fabulous burgers. (The burger and breakfast rolls list is X-TENSIVEEEE). Last thing, you will not be charged extra for gluten free rolls or milk alternatives here – how refreshing.
Much respect for this lovely hard working super successful, *AHA award winning* business owner. We loved her sense of community, evidenced by her proudly displayed sponsorship of the local girls footy team, among other things.
One thing to note, there is not much seating, a little out doors, so make this one a car boot dinner, esplanade picnic or park party. If you live in the area, take away for home or find them on Uber Eats or Menu Log. You will not regret it.
Cheffys are celebrating their one year bbirthday this June.
