The South Australian Society of Model & Experimental Engineers (SASMEE) is a miniature train ride experience your kids will LOVE you for.

The objectives of the Society is to create and maintain interest in model making of all types. So there’s small machine tools, tool making and experimental engineering connected to models. This is very much a kids haven!

Adults and children can experience the amazing model trains up close and personal, and the main highlight of SASMEE is being able to ride on a range of model steam and diesel trains! In fact it is unlimited rides with the small entry fee.

There are two stations (one near the middle and one right down the back) and a variety of trains run continuous loops stopping at the stations to take on/let off passengers. Trains can take between 3 and 20 passengers so families can sit together or take turns with the kids while others take photos!

The grounds are perfect for a picnic (the kids won’t want to be leaving any time soon) and there is a canteen on site that sells drinks and snacks and does a damn good cup of hot chips!

Only pre-booked online tickets are available while COVID-19 restrictions remain in place.

No tickets at the gate, online bookings close at noon on the event day.
