DESCRIPTION:The South Australian Society of Model & Experimental Engineers (SASMEE) is a miniature train ride experience your kids will LOVE you for. \nThe objectives of the Society is to create and maintain interest in model making of all types. So there’s small machine tools\, tool making and experimental engineering connected to models. This is very much a kids haven! \nAdults and children can experience the amazing model trains up close and personal\, and the main highlight of SASMEE is being able to ride on a range of model steam and diesel trains! In fact it is unlimited rides with the small entry fee. \nThere are two stations (one near the middle and one right down the back) and a variety of trains run continuous loops stopping at the stations to take on/let off passengers.\nTrains can take between 3 and 20 passengers so families can sit together or take turns with the kids while others take photos! \nThe grounds are perfect for a picnic (the kids won’t want to be leaving any time soon) and there is a canteen on site that sells drinks and snacks and does a damn good cup of hot chips! \nWhen: 1st Sunday and 3rd Saturday of each month \n\nAugust 2\, 2026\nAugust 15\, 2026\nSeptember 6\, 2026\nSeptember 19\, 2026\nOctober 4\, 2026\n\nGates Open: 1:30 PM\nTrain Rides: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM \nSales close at 2 pm on the day of the event unless sold out prior. DESCRIPTION:Come and Celebrate the Norwood Christmas Pageant! \nGet ready to kick off the festive season in style at the Norwood Christmas Pageant on Saturday\, November 21st 2026! The Parade\, Norwood will come alive with vibrant floats\, joyful music\, and dazzling entertainment featuring live bands\, clowns\, dancers\, fairies\, and more. \nBring the whole family and join the fun as kids are encouraged to decorate the street with festive chalk drawings. It’s a magical morning not to be missed! \nThe Pageant will start at Woods Street\, Norwood and travel east along The Parade to Queen Street. \nWHEN: Saturday 21 November \nTIME: 10:00 am – 11:00 am \n\n		\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nTips for the day \n\nStay behind the blue line marked on The Parade\nOn the morning before you leave home\, write your mobile number on your child’s wrist or arm in case they get lost and take a photo of them to remember what they are wearing\nDon’t forget to Slip\, Slop\, Slap\, Seek and Slide for you and the kids\nIf it looks like there might be rain\, bring your umbrellas\, hooded jackets and gumboots for enjoying the puddles\nStay for lunch to avoid the rush out. There are many delicious eateries on The Parade for you to enjoy after the Pageant finishes.\nBookings might be best if you want a specific place\, and\nUtilise public transport to get to The Parade as parking can be restrictive.\n\n
