SUMMARY:The Pack - Adelaide Fringe
DESCRIPTION:A Circus show exploring the intersection of circus and everyday objects\, inviting young people to engage with their environment and each other through high energy physical performance. \nUsing found and circus-inspired materials\, they test ideas of weight\, flight\, risk\, and trust—mirroring their own dichotomy in search of identity\, belonging\, and autonomy. \nAs a creative ensemble\, they navigate the complexities of adolescence: wanting to stand out while blending in\, pushing limits while seeking safety. Through this process\, they shape space and are shaped by it—considering what they bring\, what they leave behind\, and how their presence can hopefully leave a place changed for the better. \nThis ensemble is a force to reckoned with when they all pull together to create their future. \nbook tickets here \nKids in Adelaide Review\n★★★★ \nBravo and take a bow Cirkidz\, take a bow The Pack. This truly felt like the future of circus\, and we can’t wait to see some of these young performers back at Fringe for many years to come. \nThe show was packed with personality\, energy\, skill and confidence\, showcasing an impressive group of emerging performers delivering a fast-paced mix of aerials\, acrobatics and circus tricks\, each act brought something new and exciting to watch. It was clear how much dedication and training sat behind every performance. \nIf you have kids who love performing or dream of being on stage themselves\, this is a fantastic show to take them to. Seeing talented\, home-grown performers shine on a Fringe stage was both inspiring and genuinely exciting. A wonderful celebration of youth\, creativity and the next generation of S.A circus talent.

Bubbles? Big Bangs? Music? Jokes? Fart jokes? If you said all of the above\, then The Alphabet of Awesome Science is the show for you. \nThis high-energy and non stop performance seamlessly blends science experiments with kid style comedy and plenty of audience interaction\, keeping kids engaged from start to finish. Working through the alphabet\, each letter brings a new scientific surprise packed with laughs\, exciting reactions and plenty of “wow” moments. \nThe fast pace kept the audience hooked\, making it ideal for primary school aged kids\, though my 13-year-old also thoroughly enjoyed it. Kids who are curious about science and how things work will particularly love this show. Honestly\, why don’t they teach science like this at school? \nThe show is incredibly slick\, and it’s clear many hours of rehearsal have gone into creating such a polished performance. \nA small warning for parents\, you will probably end up a little bit wet\, a little bit windswept or picking a few rice bubbles out of your hair. What other show can you say that about? \nIf you’re looking for a Fringe show that combines learning\, laughter and high-energy\, The Alphabet of Awesome Science ticks all the boxes. A solid\, supercharged and STEM-tastic 5 stars from us!

The packed house (and it was PACKED!) could not get enough of the 60 minutes of comedy gold from this trio. A mix of minion-style clown humour\, sprinkled in with acrobatics and some music make this the perfect show for the under 12s. \nFabulously engaging and with loads of crowd interaction\, the Melbourne based troupe are absolute pros at this game and this if you are worried about your little one sitting still or getting bored at a show\, there is no issue with that here. No scary bits and full of fun\, brightness and great vibes and in a large comfortable venue (we saw it on a hot day and it will still ideal). Must see this one.

Splish Splash Science is a lively\, laugh-filled show packed with audience participation\, water experiments and plenty of splashy surprises. \nFrom the moment the show begins\, kids are drawn straight into the action. There are constant opportunities to get involved\, and the mix of comedy\, singing\, dancing and water-filled chaos keeps the energy high throughout. The whole crowd was laughing\, and at several points ducking for cover at the same time. \nAlongside all the silliness are clever little educational snippets woven into the show with plenty of interesting facts and ideas they will happily take back to school without even realising they have been learning. \nThis show is a bucket of laughs\, a splash of science and a whole lot of watery fun. A fantastic Fringe pick for families\, especially on a hot Adelaide day when a little extra splash factor is very welcome.

Over the course of the hour\, this solo act will take you on a ride that is an absolute sensory extravaganza. \nFrom fire to explosions\, colourful reactions and some that we can’t quite find the words to explain\, this will satisfy not only the science loving kids but everyone who loves seeing the fantastical parts of nature. \nPerfect for all ages\, it is loud and energetic and thankfully headphones were provided for the sensitive ears to minimise the noise (a great addition!)\, they will be engaged for the full hour for the most part (occasional waits during the set up of the next spot saw younger ones a tad restless) and then grab some merch on the way out. True pros this crew and a guaranteed good time! \n

SUMMARY:Quest for the Coolest Animal In The World - Adelaide Fringe

She’s joined by her hilarious friends — singer\, actor and former birthday clown Rosie Russell\, and quick-witted comedian Andrew Silverwood — for a wild adventure packed with comedy\, science\, music\, and games\, plus more fascinating animal facts than you can shake a tentacle at. \nFrom sneaky slugs to deceitful bugs\, this interactive show will have kids laughing and learning. A must-see show for all who love animals! \nWINNER: Children’s Event\, Weekly Award\, FW Perth 2025\nWINNER: Best in Comedy\, Shaftesbury Fringe 2023\n★★★★½ “standout scientific fun!” FringeFeed\, 2025\n★★★★★ “My advice is grab a ticket pronto because what an absolute treat this was!” FringeFeed\, 2026 \nCome armed with what animal you think is the coolest animal in the world…and why! Funny\, interactive and packed with just enough learning to make you feel like you’ve nailed the “fun but educational” box for the day. \nFrom the start\, Robyn\, Rosie and Andrew had the whole crowd in stitches. The comedy lands for both kids and adults (which is harder than it looks)\, with plenty of silly moments\, quick banter and genuine belly laughs. It never drags\, and the energy stays high the entire time. \nWhat surprised us most was how much the kids actually learnt without even realising. The animal facts are fascinating and delivered in such a fun way that they stick. My girls have not stopped talking about the fact that hippopotamuses sweat blood. Fringe AND science? We’ll take it. \nThere’s music\, dancing\, audience participation and interactive games with prizes. The performers are warm\, quick on their feet and brilliant at working the crowd\, making every show feel slightly different and very personal. \nIt’s suitable for all ages\, but we’d especially recommend it for kids aged five and up\, who will get the most out of the humour and the facts. \nIf you’re looking for a Fringe show that’s genuinely entertaining\, not too long\, and leaves the kids talking about it for days\, Quest for the Coolest Animal in the World is a winner.

A quick tip for parents: while this show is suitable for all ages\, if you have extremely young children\, you might also want to check out Josh’s dedicated shows for little ones. But for everyone else\, if you want a Fringe show that blends comedy\, astonishment\, and pure skill\, book tickets to Lie to Me immediately. You won’t regret it.

If you’ve ever made a cubby in your lounge room\, or helped a little one create their own\, this is an inspiring and delightful new theatrical experience that you and the whole family will enjoy. \n★★★★★ “a delightful celebration of imagination from two charismatic performers” Kids in Adelaide \nWHERE: Main Hall at Woodville Town Hall \nWHEN: Sat\, 21 Feb – Sun\, 08 Mar \nTIME: \n\nSat 21 Feb – Sun 22 Feb: 11:00am\nThu 26 Feb – Sun 01 Mar: 11:00am\nThu 05 Mar – Sun 08 Mar: 11:00am\n\nDURATION: 50 mins \nCONTENT RATING: G \nBook tickets here \nKids in Adelaide Review\n★★★★ \nWhat a fun\, clever and genuinely creative show. It takes everyday household stuff and turns it into the kind of magic that makes kids realise their imagination is actually pretty powerful (and also that nothing in your house is safe ever again). \nMy girls were completely hooked from the start. Proper belly laughs\, wide eyes\, and that rare moment where they actually sit still because they don’t want to miss a thing. The performers had such a great way of connecting with the audience and really pulled the kids into the story. \nThe best part? As soon as it finished they were already planning how to recreate it at home. So yes\, there will definitely be furniture rearranging\, random objects going “missing” and a lot of dramatic performances happening in our lounge room this week. \nIt’s one of those shows that doesn’t just entertain them for an hour\, it sparks something that sticks. You can see the ideas ticking over in their heads on the way out. \nSuch a great pick for families\, with plenty of laughs for the grown-ups too. I’d absolutely recommend it for kids aged five and up.
