DESCRIPTION:In the lead up to World Autism Acceptance Month\, the South Australian Museum is opening our doors after hours to offer a quieter Museum experience on Friday 27 March. \nWe’ll be turning some sensory elements off and limiting visitor numbers to create a quieter environment. \nAdditionally\, there will be relaxed activities on offer\, including the option to paint a fossil with Palaeo-artist Riley Foley\, talk one-on-one with a Museum Palaeontologist\, and explore the Discovery Centre. \nEveryone is welcome. DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Bay to Birdwood will be held on Sunday 19 October. \nOne of the world’s great historic motoring events. \nThe iconic Bay to Birdwood is one of the world’s great historic motoring events and has been a standout fixture on the South Australian events calendar since 1980. \nThousands of spectators line the 67 kilometre route to view the passing parade of historic motoring from West Beach through to the National Motor Museum at Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills. Held annually\, the Bay to Birdwood is a citizen-collector historic motoring event that draws participants from around Australia and the world to celebrate all things vintage vehicles. \nEntrants\, spectators and Finish Festival goers are encouraged to wear period clothing and enter the Fashions on the Field competition as is the tradition at the Bay to Birdwood! \nAt the National Motor Museum Finish Festival\, motor enthusiasts and ticket holders join the citizen-collectors as all 1500 entrant vehicles cross the finish line. The Finish Festival hosts hundreds of rarely seen historic vehicles\, food trucks that offer delicious gourmet street food and Adelaide Hills craft beer\, wines and spirits.
