DESCRIPTION:The City of West Torrens Riverbank Christmas Display is back again in 2025!  \nFormally the ‘West End Brewery Christmas Lights’\, this dazzling display has been a Christmas tradition for many South Australian families for over 60 years and it is still completely free to wander. \nLighting up from November 22\, you can witness the series of enchanting displays including Santa and his reindeers\, Jack in the box\, Vulcan’s volcano\, the ferris wheel\, the ‘cow jumped over the moon’\, Wizard of Oz\, and the Nativity inn. \nIs it really Christmas in Adelaide without a trip to the “Brewery Lights”? \nWHERE: Cnr Adam Street & Port Road\, Southwark (same place as always\, previously known as the suburb of Thebarton\, but this little bit has a new name in line with the new development happening here) \n(Opposite Entertainment Centre) \nWHEN: From Saturday 22 November\, 2025 until Friday 2 January \nTIME: \n\nSunday – Thursday: 3pm – 11pm\nFriday & Saturday: 3pm – midnight\n\nWHERE TO PARK: Along with surrounding street parking\, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium are also offering 2 hour free parking on dates without events planned for the Adelaide Entertainment Centre or Coopers Stadium. Throughout November and December\, the market is filled with South Australian growers and producers offering fresh\, seasonal food\, handmade gifts and locally made drinks all brought in with a lighter footprint and a direct benefit to farming families. Add in weekly activities\, live music and a friendly Sunday atmosphere\, and you’ve got a calmer\, more local way to prepare for the festive season one that’s better for the planet\, supports local growers and comes without any fuss. \nOn Sunday 21 December\, shoppers can pick up their pre-ordered hams\, cherries\, cheeses\, Christmas gin and more\, straight from the people who grow\, raise\, bake and make it. \nWe keep trading right through the festive season\, including Sunday 28 December\, so you can restock for New Year gatherings or holiday visitors or for the family getaway. The market returns on Sunday\, 4 January. \nIf you’re after fresh food for the Christmas table\, something to keep the kids busy\, or just a relaxed morning among local producers\, the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is a good place to start. \nFROM NOW UNTIL 7 DECEMBER\nSend Your Letter to Santa\nFrom now until 7 December\, kids can stop by our little letter-writing table (near the info stand under the big verandah) and send a postcard straight to Santa. It’s simple\, old-fashioned fun. Write your message\, pop it in our festive letterbox\, and Santa will send a reply later in December (while supplies last). Just make sure names and addresses are nice and clear.\nDiary Date: Santa will be visiting the market on Sunday 14 December for free photos too. \nSUNDAY 30 NOVEMBER \nKids’ Corner: Christmas Pinecone Craft (30 November)\nChildren can roll up their sleeves and decorate pinecones with our friendly market volunteers. It’s an easy\, hands-on activity that gives kids a chance to make something festive to take home. Free to join\, with donations welcome. Adult supervision is needed.\n10am to 11pm in the Kids Corners of the Market Pavilion \nSanta’s Coming to Market (14 December)\nSanta will be at the market under the big veradah from 9am–12pm for free photos\, helped by volunteers from the CFS. They’ll also be collecting gold coin or tap-and-go donations for the CFS Foundation\, which supports CFS families during tough times. Bring your device and we’ll help take your photo. Pets are welcome too\, if they meet market entry rules. \nLolly Jar Circus + BBQ Fundraiser (14 December)\nLolly Jar Circus will be set up outdoors with circus activities for the kids such as ribbons\, hoops\, spinning plates and more. They’ll also be cooking up a fundraising barbecue to support their inclusive programs for young people across Adelaide. It’s a lively\, hands-on morning and a great way to support a local organisation. \nThe Ukes (14 December – Outdoors)\nThe Ukes\, a lively group of ukulele enthusiasts from Glenelg\, and will be performing outdoors under the red umbrellas on the grass. Known for their fun\, community vibe and cheerful tunes\, they’re always a favourite with families and kids. Enjoy the music\, tap your feet\, and soak up the friendly atmosphere they bring to every performance. \nSA Youth Guitar Ensemble (14 December – Outdoors)\nEnjoy live Christmas music from the talented SA Youth Guitar Ensemble while Santa visits the market. SAYGE will perform a short Christmas set at 10am. They’re a talented group of young classical guitarists who bring a lovely energy to the market. DESCRIPTION:The Anglican Parish of Glenelg invites the Adelaide community to celebrate the festive season at their annual Christmas Festival. This year’s event will showcase a vibrant mix of Christmas displays\, live music\, and the unique charm of their historic church building. \nFamilies can enjoy a visit from Father Christmas on Thursday\, December 4\, and Friday\, December 5\, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.\nLittle ones will love the children’s reading corner from 10:30 to 11:00 am\, followed by Kids Crafts from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday\, Friday\, and Saturday. \nVisitors can browse the Christmas\, cake\, and gift stalls\, take part in the raffle or children’s lucky dip\, and relax with a Devonshire tea.
