DESCRIPTION:Join Crispy Shawn the Christmas Prawn and all his friends for the 2025 PAE Christmas Trail. \nThis year you can step into a world of colour\, character and cracking good jokes to celebrate the silly season with a playful\, interactive\, augmented reality trail. \nThink technology like Pokémon Go but the creativity and imagination of artist Luku Kuku creating characters and stories especially for us in PAE! \nHow It Works \nAt nine locations across PAE you’ll discover a stack of GIANT presents\, visit each location from 7 December to 25 January to discover seven different characters – each one a playful nod to the unique ways we celebrate in PAE. \nEach present uses Augmented Reality (AR)\, all you need to do is scan the QR code located on the giant presents with your apple or android phone to reveal a character\, grab its special code letter and enjoy a fun and interactive laugh with your new best mate. Find all seven characters and their code letters across PAE\, to spell out a code word. DESCRIPTION:A 7 1/4 gauge railway that runs at Wilfred Taylor Reserve\, Wheatsheaf Road\, Morphett Vale SA. Station facilities such as a Traverser\, Turntable\, Workshops\, Platforms and two-storey Signal Cabin are at Morphett Vale\, along with an extensive station yard with 12 shed roads and numerous auxiliary roads. \nThe Algebuckina Bridge is a highlight of the system\, being over 40 metres in length and over 4 metres high at its highest point above Christies Creek. A smaller road bridge is located at the 800m mark. A tunnel now exists on the railway. \nThe system uses track circuited electric colour-light speed signalling with all signals being automatic; except those at Morphett Vale station where signals and switches are controlled from the Signal Cabin (Train Control). Solar powered signals and remote controlled switches are used in various locations. \nMVRail presently has over 40 items of rollingstock\, including four diesel locomotives. Steam locomotives operated at the railway are privately owned by members. DESCRIPTION:The South Australian Society of Model & Experimental Engineers (SASMEE) is a miniature train ride experience your kids will LOVE you for. \nThe objectives of the Society is to create and maintain interest in model making of all types. So there’s small machine tools\, tool making and experimental engineering connected to models. This is very much a kids haven! \nAdults and children can experience the amazing model trains up close and personal\, and the main highlight of SASMEE is being able to ride on a range of model steam and diesel trains!
