If you said all of the above\, then The Alphabet of Awesome Science is the show for you. \nThis high-energy and non stop performance seamlessly blends science experiments with kid style comedy and plenty of audience interaction\, keeping kids engaged from start to finish. Working through the alphabet\, each letter brings a new scientific surprise packed with laughs\, exciting reactions and plenty of “wow” moments. \nThe fast pace kept the audience hooked\, making it ideal for primary school aged kids\, though my 13-year-old also thoroughly enjoyed it. Kids who are curious about science and how things work will particularly love this show. Honestly\, why don’t they teach science like this at school? \nThe show is incredibly slick\, and it’s clear many hours of rehearsal have gone into creating such a polished performance. \nA small warning for parents\, you will probably end up a little bit wet\, a little bit windswept or picking a few rice bubbles out of your hair. What other show can you say that about? \nIf you’re looking for a Fringe show that combines learning\, laughter and high-energy\, The Alphabet of Awesome Science ticks all the boxes. A solid\, supercharged and STEM-tastic 5 stars from us!

The packed house (and it was PACKED!) could not get enough of the 60 minutes of comedy gold from this trio. A mix of minion-style clown humour\, sprinkled in with acrobatics and some music make this the perfect show for the under 12s. \nFabulously engaging and with loads of crowd interaction\, the Melbourne based troupe are absolute pros at this game and this if you are worried about your little one sitting still or getting bored at a show\, there is no issue with that here. No scary bits and full of fun\, brightness and great vibes and in a large comfortable venue (we saw it on a hot day and it will still ideal). Must see this one.

Kids can explore different cultures in a fun\, relaxed way\, while parents enjoy a long-lunch vibe under the trees. \nA world tour for little tastebuds\nFamilies can take a “world tour for the tastebuds” with free tastings and samples from Lebanese\, Chinese\, Indian\, Brazilian\, Italian\, African\, Irish and Australian cuisines. There’ll also be a special Aboriginal cooking demonstration and tasting from the Boandik mob\, led by Principal Emma Fowler\, giving children a beautiful introduction to First Nations food and stories. \nLive performances kids will love\nThroughout the afternoon\, the main stage and oval will come alive with lion dance\, Chinese sword dance\, capoeira and cultural music\, along with Italian and Lebanese cooking showcases. There’s always something happening in every corner\, making it easy to keep kids engaged and entertained while you soak up the atmosphere. \nHands-on fun and creative workshops\nYoung families can dive into Aboriginal Signs\, Symbols and Shared Art activities\, as well as Chinese craft-making workshops that are perfect for little hands. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming\, with mats at the front encouraging the kids to sit close and feel comfortable getting involved. The playful storyline has the audience helping Meg to find her missing glove gave the audience plenty of opportunities to join in and feel like important helpers along the way. Meg and Penny made a genuine effort to connect with every single child\, drawing even the shyest audience members into the fun and making the space feel safe\, inclusive and relaxed. \nThere was plenty of dancing\, lots of singing\, and of course lots of bubbles and we all know bubbles and children are always a hit! \nA charming and perfectly paced show for preschoolers experiencing Fringe for the first time.

There are constant opportunities to get involved\, and the mix of comedy\, singing\, dancing and water-filled chaos keeps the energy high throughout. The whole crowd was laughing\, and at several points ducking for cover at the same time. \nAlongside all the silliness are clever little educational snippets woven into the show with plenty of interesting facts and ideas they will happily take back to school without even realising they have been learning. \nThis show is a bucket of laughs\, a splash of science and a whole lot of watery fun. A fantastic Fringe pick for families\, especially on a hot Adelaide day when a little extra splash factor is very welcome.

The animal facts are fascinating and delivered in such a fun way that they stick. My girls have not stopped talking about the fact that hippopotamuses sweat blood. Fringe AND science? We’ll take it. \nThere’s music\, dancing\, audience participation and interactive games with prizes. DESCRIPTION:The Adelaide Invitational athletics competition is in town this weekend\, and being run alongside the event will be a Next Athletics session for kids. Participants in the session (and their parent/guardian) will also receive free entry to the Adelaide Invitational\, a free t-shirt\, and a name bib for them to collect signatures from the track superstars competing. \nNext Athletics is a new and exciting games-based athletics program for children aged between 3 and 12 years of age. It offers a fun and engaging opportunity for preschool and school-aged children to gain and build essential athletics and life skills that will support participation in athletics and any sport\, as well as embed healthy activity habits for life.
