DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE SHOW\nLike Me\, Like You is an ActNow Theatre work for children in years 1-4\, or ages 6-8\, that explores the different people\, cultures and stories that make up Australia today. \nLike Me\, Like You introduces little ones to the idea of inclusivity\, and sows the seeds for anti-racism and bullying prevention. ActNow Theatre’s actor/facilitators take audiences through a series of short scenes with songs\, dance\, puppets and stories that build their sense of personal safety and belonging\, and teach them how to advocate for themselves and each other. \nJOIN US FOR OUR FREE PERFORMANCES!\nWith the help of an Adelaide City Council Community Grant\, we are presenting two free public performances of Like Me\, Like You this May\, coinciding with Reconciliation Week (27th May – 3rd June 2026). \nDate Saturday 30th of May \nTime 10:30am & 1:00pm \nVenue North Adelaide Baptist Church Hall\, 144 Tynte Street North Adelaide \nDuration 60 minutes \nPre‑show activity: Doors open at 10am for children to make an origami plane\, boat or canoe. Each child is invited to create one piece of origami to place on the stage before the performance. \nRegister to attend! \nWhile it’s free to attend\, registrations are essential. Register now as spaces are limited! \nWe are committed to ensuring that all children can access our work and are included in our theatre experiences. Children requiring sensory supports are encouraged to bring along sensory-regulating items. Movement breaks are incorporated throughout. \nPlease email info@actnowtheatre.org.au if you have any queries about access needs. \nActNow Theatre is assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia\, its principal arts funding and advisory body. \nThis project received funding through the Adelaide City Council Community Grant program. \nVenue support for these performances has been provided by National Trust South Australia. \nLike Me\, Like You was developed in 2018 in close partnership with Reconciliation SA\, the Department for Education\, Catholic Education South Australia\, and the Association of Independent Schools of South Australia.
