The Mix 102.3 Giant Wheel powered by Lumo Energy is BACK at Glenelg and sporting some seriously cool stickers on the seats! (Spoiler alert: They are OURS!)

How awesome is it to see the MIX 102.3 GIANT WHEEL powered by LUMO ENERGY return to Glenelg for the summer?

Skyline Attractions is thrilled to be coming back to Glenelg for the fifth year running. From Friday 27th October 2023 to the 12th May 2024  you can take a ride 35 metres in the air on the Giant Wheel overlooking Moseley Square. We LOVE it so much every year that we have jumped on board again as an official digital media sponsor!

The SkyLine Attractions Observation Wheel (the real name for the Mix 102.3 Giant Wheel) is the tallest travelling, portable observation wheel in Australia, at 35 metres high, with 24 gondolas that seat up to 144 people at capacity. Up to 6 people can fit in each gondola (although 6 large adults will be a very tight fit!) and it makes a super fun family outing, or summer highlight with friends. Imagine your self kicking back and taking in spectacular views of the Adelaide coastline.

While the photos and whole experience is excellent during the day time, visit on dusk or at night and you’ll be treated to a gorgeous photo opportunity with the wheel housing more than 9,000 lights – hello Instagram?!

TAG US in your Giant Wheel pics #kidsinadelaide @kidsinadelaide1 on IG or on Facebook just @kidsinadelaide – We will be giving away a stack of passes for our favourites, so you could ride again FOR FREE.

Find it right near Glenelg Jetty (you can’t miss it!) The wheel will be running from 10am to 9:30pm daily, so make sure you get down there to visit and check it out for yourselves. *Closed Christmas Day & in extreme weather circumstances.

What’s a trip to Glenelg with out factoring in some time to visit the great Glenelg Foreshore Playground right next door as well?

With the recent seasonal addition of the Giant Wheel, from about October to April, it makes for a brilliant day out! It's a great mixture of beach surrounds, fun for young and old kids, and the move towards 'nature play' areas. Highlights include: water play area into the sand, huge metal slide, in-ground mini trampolines, climbing frames, water fountains, grassed areas and nearby cafes!Pro Tip - bring a change of clothes for when the kids inevitably get wet! One of our favourite central features of the Glenelg Foreshore Playground is the mega metal slide you can see below. At about 4m wide, this slide can fit the whole family. There is a rather steep, fake grass ramp up to the top of the slide which I didn't love at first, but it is possibly a good idea as it might keep kids under 2 from making their way up there, or at least it slows them down. As it turns out, once you're up there you can see…
