These school holidays, Hallett Cove Shopping Centre and City Cross are recruiting their own team of ‘Mini Bloggers’!

They want to hear from children aged 5 – 12 years old who would like to take part in exciting activities in the July school holidays and share their experience.

So, if your child enjoys writing, taking pictures, or making videos, this is for them!

The children who are successful in their application will be invited to experience a variety of fun filled events including:

  • Blackeby’s Old Sweet Shop Surprise
  • Balfours Frog Cake Experience
  • Slime Workshop
  • World Emoji Day Cookie Decorating
  • Emoji Face Painting
  • Bug Display and Tattoos
  • Hot Chocolate Mug Decorating
  • Model Railway Display

Writing for an audience gives kids a reason to use their developing reading and writing skills. We hope that our Mini Blogger activities can provide an outlet for creative and fun writing!

Blogging may not be for every child, but it might be for yours!

  • Thanks to the team at Simple Nourishment, we have a great recipe to get the July school holidays up and running with some deliciousness. "...With some children finishing school this week, and others finishing next week, you may not want to think about the school holidays but they are coming, so what better way to meet them other than head on and organised!   For us, time in the kitchen is therapeutic and lovely and warm and fuzzy, we understand that it is not that experience for everyone however it can make a great activity for the children (I'm talking both younger and older kids here). It's such a win/win/win for you - you get occupied kids, you get food in the fridge that they will want to eat & you get to spend some quality time together!   Start with a few conversations around what the kids would like to make (who doesn't like a bit of control!) Let them choose by showing them healthy simple snacks.   Next is checking the pantry - we have a pantry list in the front of our free mini e-book and this could be used in the next step of  preparation -…

  • South Australia is a BIG place with LOTS of great things to do and see for families. We try and get to as many things as we can ourselves, but occasionally we need some help and we call on guest bloggers and reviewers to do just that. If you've just come on board then HI! We're looking forward to working with you, but there are just a few things we need to let you know before you start. Below are the Kids in Adelaide Guest Blogger Guidelines. Please read these carefully and send an email to web@kidsinadelaide.com.au confirming you've read, understood and accept the below guidelines. If we agree to receive your guest post, it doesn't guarantee that we'll publish it. We will always provide feedback as to why we wouldn't publish something but as a general rule if they're spammy, too self promotional or not something we feel our readers will appreciate we won't publish it. Please use plain English, be engaging, fun and write something you as a parent/caregiver would want to read. By submitting your photos you are granting us, Kids in Adelaide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, licence to use, reproduce or edit them. Please do…
