SUMMARY:Moon Lantern Festival at Kies Winery
DESCRIPTION:The Kies family is delighted to announce the arrival of their newest family member\, Tilly Luna Kies\, born on 30th May 2025 to proud parents Bronson and Lidija Kies. To mark the occasion\, Kies Family Wines will host the inaugural Tilly Luna Moon Lantern Festival\, a joyful celebration of life\, in the heart of the Barossa. Held in the school holidays\, this family friendly event offers an afternoon of fun activities for the kids as well as wine tasting for the adults. \nTilly Luna’s birth inspired the creation of a limited-release wine\, the Tilly Luna Sweet Riesling. Born from adversity\, this wine was crafted from a small parcel of golden Riesling berries that survived the Barossa’s worst frost in decades; berries that symbolise hope for the future\, much like Tilly herself. Tickets are just $10 per adult and include a Tilly Luna branded wine glass\, and a tasting of the brand new Sweet Riesling. Kids aged 5 and under are free and tickets for Kids aged between 5 and 18 are just $5. \nThe Moon Lantern Festival will be held at Kies Family Wines from 12PM on Saturday\, 12th July. \nGuests can expect: \n· Live music by Jamie Blechynden \n· Asian Tucker food truck\, with dishes paired to the Sweet Riesling \n· A Kidz Zone featuring a lantern-decorating competition\, with the winner receiving a $50 voucher to the Monkey Nut Café \nTickets:  \n$10 for adults (includes a commemorative Tilly Luna wine glass) \n$5 for kids aged 5–18\, and free entry for children under 5 \n“We wanted to create something truly memorable to celebrate the arrival of our special little girl\, Tilly Luna\,” says Bronson Kies\, winemaker and proud father. “This festival is not just for our family\, it’s for everyone who wants to share in a little bit of magic.” Tickets are available online or at the gate. \nVisit www.kieswines.com.au for more information.
