If you thought West Beach Skate Park couldn’t get any cooler, you were wrong. So wrong. I mean sure there are not currently as many planes for spotting BUT there is a new kid on the block and a TASTY one at that. Welcome Skate Side Kiosk. The best new outdoor meal your are going to find with kids! I mean forget playrooms and lawn games, this eatery has an entire SKATE PARK and bike track. Yew. Mic drop – nuff said.

Open Wednesdays to Sundays from 11.30am to 4.30pm serving hands down delicious Vietnamese food including bahn mi rolls, noodle bowls, cold rolls, spring rolls, dim sims and more. You can also grab a bag of hot chips, milkshakes and wait for it VERY GOOD COFFEE. What a time to be a skate Mum (or Dad).

This trendy little outlet is an initiative from the award-winning family behind Oceanique and Tram Side Kiosk + Ho Nai Vietnamese Kitchen . The food is all made fresh each morning and it’s legitimately authentic and just amazing.

Expect to see some more bright art work popping up soon. There’s toilets on site and a reasonable amount of alfresco under cover seating. Finally, parking is abundant for the win.

Kids can grab a cold drink or ice cream if that’s more their style.

Definitely one to tell your friends about, perfect for a meet up and a cheap outing with some delicious lunch options. This spot is going to draw a local crowd regardless of any skate park. It’s that good. Pop in next time you are driving by Tapley’s Hill Rd, or for a break from Harbor Town Shopping. Staying at West Beach Parks? Get on this.

As for the skate park it self – it has options for all ages and skating abilities and you can read more about it HERE
