Enrolments for the 2020/21 VACSWIM program are now open!

The VACSWIM program is a South Australian government funded program for primary school aged children aged 5 – 13 years, providing the fundamentals of water safety, survival skills & basic stroke skills. This year, Royal Life Saving Society SA will deliver our Swim & Survive program at over 60 locations across South Australia. As the largest provider of vacation swimming programs in Australia, we are looking forward to delivering the coming program and providing vital water safety skills to participants.

Swim & Survive Active Levels 1-7 – The Swim & Survive program consists of 7 levels, please take a few moments to read through and assess the best level for your child. A brief assessment will be done on the first day; however it is always best to place your child in a level as close as possible to avoid class disruptions and time changes.

Higher Awards – Royal Life Saving SA will also run their higher awards along side the VACSWIM program at selected locations for children 13 years and older.

I absolutely love their mission statement as follows: “ Our mission is simple. We want to improve the quality of life for more than four million Australians living with a disability by getting them back onto the beach" It is so simple of a lot of us to venture to the beach with no hesitation however for some it is just not a possibility due to their mobility. Their approach is simplistic yet so needed and worthy of attention. They communicate to more than 22,000 contacts throughout Australia, they use technology to band communities together. In the summer months they host accessible beach days, demonstrating to local councils that beach accessibilities is in high demand across all ages. Education is a key across the state as well working closely with local and state governments, by providing support to navigate common compliance, procurement, risk, insurance and operational issues. Implementation is  provided at site evaluations and professionally to install the highest quality products on the market. They also provide training, support and supplier endorsed maintenance.
