DESCRIPTION:A new home for greyhound adoption is opening in Angle Park\, giving dogs waiting for their forever homes a dedicated space to relax\, play\, receive care and meet potential families.\nDesigned with greyhound wellbeing at its heart\, the purpose-built centre includes comfortable kennel areas\, indoor and outdoor spaces\, enrichment and socialisation areas\, and dedicated places for prospective adopters and foster carers to spend time getting to know the dogs.\nThe community is invited to celebrate the opening at a special Open Day on Saturday\, 22 August from 11am to 2pm.\nVisitors will have the chance to meet greyhounds looking for loving homes and speak with the Greyhounds As Pets SA team about adoption and fostering. \nSpin the wheel prizes\nOn site adoptions and fosters\nAround 21 dogs attending ready for foster/adopt\nFree sausage sizzle\nDog treats\n(Note: We want to avoid using words like ‘explore’ the new centre etc. because it won’t actually be open yet on the day of the event) \nFrom opening day and beyond\, our Adoption Centre will be a place where greyhounds and people can meet\, connect and find the right match. \nDISCOUNT PROMOTIONAL OFFER \nDiscount adoption specials to celebrate the new centre. \nFirst 50 adoptions\nAdoption price $75 rather than $200\nFood – increase to a 9kg bag rather than a 2.5kg bag\nExtra treats – to be provided by Southern Animal Supplies (TBC)\nGAP boarding – 7 nights of free GAP boarding each year for the first two years of ownership (when we promote\, we will need to say that “terms and conditions apply”\nSpin the prize wheel – similar to the GAP birthday\nFree vaccination from Angle Park Veterinary Clinic (when next due)\nTattoo – free tattoo of a greyhound design from Daniel Stevens tattooing \nThe total value is nearly $1\,300 of extra value. \nclick here for more info
