Day? \nR U OK is a public health promotion charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives. \nThe work focuses on building the motivation\, confidence and skills of the help-giver – the person who can have a meaningful conversation with someone who is struggling with life. \nR U OK? contributes to suicide prevention efforts by encouraging people to invest more time in their personal relationships and building the capacity of informal support networks – friends\, family and colleagues – to be alert to those around them\, have a conversation if they identify signs of distress or difficulty and connect someone to appropriate support\, long before they’re in crisis. \nA conversation could change a life \nGot a feeling that someone you know or care about isn’t behaving as they normally would? DESCRIPTION:McHappy Day is set to take place on Saturday\, November 19. \nHollywood actress\, businesswoman and mother\, Eva Mendes returns as the National McHappy Day Ambassador in 2022. \nMcHappy Day is the largest annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)\, which helps seriously ill and injured children and their families stay together while receiving medical care in a nearby hospital. \nMendes\, who was the virtual McHappy Day Ambassador in 2020\, will travel to Australia to meet families staying at Ronald McDonald House and visit a local McDonald’s restaurant on McHappy Day. \nAussies looking to support this year’s McHappy Day can drop into their local Macca’s from October 26 to pick up a pair of Silly Socks or Helping Hands. \nAnd on McHappy Day\, $2 from every Big Mac sold goes directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
