Ten Thousand Hours is a celebration of the pursuit of mastery.

Eight elite acrobats investigate physical skill; how we obtain it, how we perfect it, and how it can transform our lives. Through highlighting the nuance of high level acrobatics, audiences experience a heightened appreciation of the countless hours required to master the skills they are witnessing.

The work is a revelry of the distinct physical language that defines Gravity & Other Myths.
It is a tribute to the dedication required to become a world class acrobat.
An ode to time, sweat, and sacrifices.
A love letter to our bodies.
An invitation to watch us work.

Kids In Adelaide Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ten Thousand Hours is a simply stunning piece of work by GOM Circus, delving into the work, time and dedication it takes to master a skill. We were truly mesmerised throughout the whole experience.
This is not a clowning, juggling, pie in the face kind of circus work. Ten Thousand Hours is athletes at work, taking on acrobatic feats that we had never seen before using a perfect blend of strength, team work and pure joy. Honestly, it was obvious how much the artists were enjoying themselves. They tumbled, they climbed, they balanced, they jumped and I wish I could paint a picture that depicts how clever, stunning and amazing their skills are. The GOM Circus artists were in perfect sync with each other and while our hearts were in our throats for the first few minutes, you soon realise that these are pros at work and relax into true appreciation for the performance.
Did it all go perfectly, every single time? Nope, but that is the whole point of the show. Mastering a skill such as acrobatics means doing the same thing over and over again, messing up, trying it differently and sometimes having something go wrong even when you think you have it right. We especially loved their clever take on the ‘water bottle challenge’ which perfectly proves this point.
What ages is Ten Thousand Hours suitable for? We took our 8 year old who loves her own acro classes so she was mesmerised the entire time. As long as your kids can sit still and concentrate for an hour, they should be fine.
I would give this 10 stars if I could. An absolutely mind blowing show from this home grown Adelaide company.
