Some kids love sport, some kids love craft and some kids LOVE to cook! (and how lucky are the families of those kids! well played Mums and Dads)
We’re pretty lucky here in Adelaide that there are a number of cooking schools around the place offering both one off school holiday classes as well as regularly weekly sessions your kids can sign up for. They can learn to bake a cake, make the perfect scrambled egg and even try their hand at Japanese pancakes! They’ll not only learn how to follow a recipe and measure ingredients, they’ll also learn about food, nutrition and experimenting with food. It all sounds yummy to us!

Sprout Cooking School

At Sprout kids classes, kids learn to cook fresh, seasonal and healthy meals, from scratch, in our kitchen, using proper equipment and all by themselves. No cupcake decorating here, just real food and real skills.

Two sessions to choose from, a morning session for ages 5-11 and an afternoon session for ages 12-16.

*All kids classes include all ingredients, equipment, apron hire and recipes to take home. Information about drop-off/pick-up and parents wishing to stay and watch will be sent by email upon booking your tickets.

Scoffed Cooking School

Floury faces, sticky fingers, mucky aprons and messy bench tops are on the menu at Scoffed School of Food and Fun.

Every Thursday and Saturday, there is an excitement and laughter at the Scoffed Cooking School Food Chiefs Program as kids aged 5 and over don their aprons and hats to learn the tricks of the trade. Watch them cook something new every week as they try their hand at everything from Japanese pancakes (Okonomyaki) or healthy chicken nuggets, to apple crumble and pumpkin brownies.
