Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Glenelg Winter Arts Festival

New to the Glenelg Winter Arts Festival program for 2024 – it’s the Teddy Bears’ Picnic!

Between 12pm and 4pm on Thursday 11 July in Colley Reserve at Glenelg, enjoy this free and fun activation for the littlest festivalgoers (and teddy bear lovers of all ages).

Purchase some lunch from Glenelg Winter Arts Festival’s two food vendors (Doughballs pizza and Cakeboy donuts), or pack your own picnic, bring your favourite teddy bear, and enjoy teddy-themed activities.

All day activities – children will be able to come and go from these anytime:
– bear mask making (free)
– biscuit decorating ($2)

Plus – pop-up performances on the day to be revealed! Hosted by Teddlie Bear (a.k.a. award-winning children’s performer Kat Placing).

You’re also encouraged to bring along a blanket to sit on.

In the event of wet weather, there are some tent structures for shelter, but please note that this is an outdoor event, so prepare for winter conditions.

There are also five ticketed shows for kids taking place at Glenelg Winter Arts Festival on this day – check them out and make a day of it! We recommend purchasing tickets in advance to avoid disappointment, as demand for family shows is very high during school holidays.

These shows take place in heated tents The Kingfisher and The May Wirth, also within Colley Reserve at Glenelg.
