Port Pirie Regional Council is proud to host the New Years Eve community celebration again in 2023.
The community are invited to the event on Sunday 31 December from 5pm – 10pm at the Port Pirie Foreshore and Solomontown Beach area to celebrate New Years Eve – the biggest family event of the year!
This event is renowned for having the best fireworks display in the region outside of Adelaide. Although there will only be one firework display this year instead of two, the display will see a combination of the two to make it the biggest single show ever to cap off the event at the family-friendly time of 9.30pm.
This event is alcohol free in order to promote the safest possible environment for all families attending.
One of the highlight entertainment pieces is a concert showcasing the famous Peter Combe and his Bellyflop in a Pizza Band, singing all of our favourite songs for the children and big kids alike to enjoy.
Celebrate with some of the best local talent with opening act, guitarist/singer Tom Barratt and headline band Gen X with their fantastic range of party classics.
Festivities will also include crowd-favourite food and refreshment stalls, amusement rides, free facepainting and balloon twisting is also back. Other activities include an Emergency Services interactive display, skateboard fun at the 4shore sk8 Park and a giant interactive street art piece.
Remember to BYO chairs and picnic rugs for a great night of fun and entertainment!
