Fans of a good burger rejoice, for the incredible hospo team behind C*R*E*A*M cafe down at Brighton (its the one that is ALWAYS packed) and Remy’s Deep Dish Pizza in the city, have entered the burger game…family friendly style!

Located on Portrush Road, Glenunga, you are in for an absolute treat, with the U.S cafe style booth set up really bringing home the burger vibes (and helping us lock down our boisterous 2yo!). There are plenty of burger joints to pick from around town but what sets Diamond Burger apart is the family friendly atmosphere which comes complete with mini-basketball rings on each table! You read that right folks, a sturdy, nailed down rim that is no gimmick and will legitimately provide your fam with some cracking fun as you shoot some hoops while waiting for your feed.

Complimenting the basketball theme are the flat screens viewable from all the booths, which show NBA 24/7, which will keep your sport loving crew entertained with no trouble at all.

Now big screens and mini hoops are all well and good, but how about the food? Well we can safely say that our crew (ranging from a hungry 2yo through to a picky teen) left very, very satisfied. As the pics below show, this is a real treat with some fabulous juicy burgers (just find it very hard to go past the fried chicken variety) and great sides. Our 2yo smashed down his nuggets and chips while the 9yo devoured his mini burger, which in hindsight would be best served for the under 5s.

Kids eat free is also on offer every Tuesday, which is music to our cozzie-livs ears at the moment, so grab a free mini cheese burger with fries (or nuggs) with any purchase of a main burger meal. We do love the weekly deals, offering a bit of variety and savings throughout the week, with $1 wings on Wednesday’s sure to be a hit with the locals. If you aren’t in the mood for a burger, grab some seafood, wings or even a chicken sandwich (a sandwich is not a burger…it’s totally different). Throw in a couple of veggo/vegan options, some sweet shakes and a range of desserts, and this turns into a burger joint we are bloody happy to recommend!

  • Do your kids love pizza? Do your kids love mac n cheese? If you answered yes to both......don't make them choose! We've found a place where you can get both......together......on the same plate! That's right.......mac n cheese deep crust pizza at Remy's - Deep Dish Pizza & Bar is a thing.....and it's a DELICIOUS crowd pleaser of a thing. If your kids are cheese obsessed like mine this is definitely going to be a winner! Plus the cocktails… YUM! Their menu is chock-a-block full of deep dish pizza goodness. If Mac n Cheese ain't your thing they've also got a bunch of other just as mouth watering pizza toppings including snag n shrooms, triple cheeseburger and the fire breather as well as never fail faves like The Basic B (just cheese) and BBQ chicken. There's vegan options and they also have fries, garlic bread and fried mozarella if you need something on the side. It comes with a disclaimer that the pizzas take 30-40 minutes to cook, but when we went there was super speedy service, which is always great when you have kids in tow. There's isn't heaps of room for prams, so just bear this in mind when…

  • Who doesn’t love a burger? The KiA team have slipped on their stretchy pants (ok that was just Tim) and taken to the streets to find the best family burgers. Fair to say our gastro mission uncovered some serious burger gold. Some we always knew were good, some we had to search bloody hard for and some, well we can’t actually tell you about, because burger disappointment is a real thing. We want fresh buns, tasty flame grilled meats, fancy melted cheeses. We want vego and vegan options, smaller, cheaper options for kids and it’s been a total bonus if we found a bluddy good serve of fries, chips, tots, waffle fries or maybe even a deep fried pickle to accompany. Black buns, brioche buns, turkish bread buns – it’s all acceptable in our quest for ultimate family burger satisfaction. We even found a burger with steak and prawns in it. Dang, take my money.  Enjoy our find and let us know what you thing when you try out some of these places. We guarantee you one thing – all of these burgers are worth driving for.

  • We may have just found Adelaide's most charming, family friendly spot to eat, that caters to both parents and kids. White Picket Coffee House, on the Eastern city fringe, serves up some brilliant kid-friendly menu options in a spacious setting with a choice of indoor tables, enclosed verandah tables, or our favourite, the rear courtyard/ garden setting complete with a sweet little cottage style cubby house! I think the fact that the rear courtyard had every table filled while we were there really shows how much of a winner this place is! The coffee here is top-notch. Each cup is brewed to perfection using quality beans, leaving you with that rich and satisfying taste we all crave. Plus, their breakfast, brunch, and lunch options are to die for! With initiatives like "Pasta Fridays", it's the perfect way to end the week. On top of that, their ready-made meals to collect for dinner or work lunches are a godsend, making busy weekdays a breeze. Parents, you'll be thrilled to know that they've got your little ones covered too. The kids' hot chocolates are made to perfection - just the right temperature to keep those tiny taste buds happy. And speaking of…
