Kids Eat Free

Kids Eat Free has got to be one of the greatest concepts that the hospitality industry has ever come up with! What started as a way to get more people into pubs and hotels on quieter nights of the week has become a staple across restaurants, cafes, pubs and hotels across Adelaide.

If you’re a new parent or perhaps have just never come across Kids Eat Free promos before here’s how it generally works (check specific venues for their T&Cs obviously):

A café, pub, hotel or restaurant nominates a particular night of the week (or sometimes multiple nights!) as “Kids Eat Free Night”. For every main adult meal you purchase you get  free kids meal. Easy! Sometimes it might just be the meal, or sometimes it might come with a drink, colouring book or even dessert, depending on the establishment.

We love a Kids Eat Free Night because a) who doesn’t love getting something for free? b) sometimes it feels like such a waste to pay for Kids Meals when they barely touch it and c) usually if a restaurant or pub is offering Kids Eats Free promos, they are a family friendly spot where it won’t matter if your kids make a bit of noise or spill their juice.

From the north to the south, to the east to the west of Adelaide, have a look below for our favourite family friendly EATS venues that are offering Kids Eat Free deals.

Fans of a good burger rejoice, for the incredible hospo team behind C*R*E*A*M cafe down at Brighton (its the one that is ALWAYS packed) and Remy’s Deep Dish Pizza in the city, have entered the burger game…family friendly style! Located on Portrush Road, Glenunga, you are in for an absolute treat, with the U.S cafe style booth set up really bringing home the burger vibes (and helping us lock down our boisterous 2yo!). The Original Pancake Kitchen

A South Australian icon for more than 55 years, the Pancake Kitchen always makes me nostalgic for my childhood. It was so exciting to head to that nook of Gilbert St & be allowed to eat pancakes for dinner! I can still smell the maple syrup & remember looking at the menu wondering who on earth would eat bacon on pancakes (adult me, that’s who). Does anyone else remember the jukebox out in the back room? The original Spotify! It...

Full disclosure: this post is drool-inducing and may result in failed diets and sudden urges to get in your car and drive to the nearest TGI Fridays venue. But in all honesty, we can’t think of a better place in Adelaide to shamelessly fill your face devouring a kilo of chicken wings than TGI Fridays. Here, we can loose ourselves in the cool, low-lit style and understated laid-back American vibe. Legend has it that ‘every day of the...

We hope you are sitting down when you are reading this because this is some game changing, all-you-can-eat, family friendly eats news! Not everyone is a fan of all you can eat family spots because, honestly they can be pretty intense. Over crowded buffets with questionable food (looking directly at you tray of cold chips), kids flying around all over the place doing their best to sneeze under all the sneeze shields and usually an ice cream...
