Experience the breathtaking fusion of artistry and athleticism with the Australian Calisthenics Theatre Company’s latest masterpiece, A Symphony.
The debut production from the Australian Calisthenics Theatre Company promises to be a visual and physical spectacle as 63 of South Australia’s leading calisthenics dancers join forces with guest singer Tim Campbell and a live orchestra to present ‘A Symphony’ – a dazzling, two-show showcase of sight, sound, artistry, and athleticism at the Adelaide Festival Centre this June.
Showcasing the agility and grace of calisthenics, a century-old Australian sport combining elements of dance, ballet, gymnastics, and acrobatics, ‘A Symphony’ will light up the Festival Theatre stage with dazzling routines featuring intricate moves, spinning clubs, and an impressive 450 lavishly bejewelled costumes.
The stellar cast of dancers includes 63 South Australian athletes aged between seven and 24, each with six costume changes. These performers of strength and precision will deliver their high-energy routines to a toe-tapping soundtrack performed by a talented vocal line-up featuring popular Australian entertainer, Tim Campbell, and a live orchestra led by the world-renowned Kym Purling.
