Adventure Plus! Treasure Hunt at Mylor Adventure Camp

Love treasure hunts, adventures and detective work? Here’s your chance to be Sherlock Holmes for a day (or four) with our Adventure Plus! Holiday program.
You climb mountains, cross rivers, follow hints, swing along tree-tops and trace clues along hidden paths… all as part of our Adventure Plus! holiday program.

Collect clues throughout the day to find the treasure on the Island of Mylor at the end of the week (clues will be shared each morning with new detectives joining the workforce)!

Each day offers a different program, tailor-made for children aged 7-15 years.

Adelaide Strikers School Holiday Program

Would you like to send your kids for an active day out on the holidays?

Adelaide Strikers School Holiday Programs are back for the Easter break! Kids experience fun skill building games while learning about healthy habits. Every kid gets a go at all the different games and all participants get to make their own backyard swing ball. Each participant will receive a participant pack with a backpack, rubber ball, bag tag and sweat band.

We have safety measures in place to ensure our programs are COVID safe and everyone can enjoy the program safely. Participants only need to bring a hat, drink bottle and a snack, everything else will be provided on the day.

Australian Dance Theatre

Join Australian Dance Theatre for the Autumn School Holiday Workshops.  Taught by Australian Dance Theatre dancers and creatives, these workshops will allow young people to develop their dance skills in a fun and inclusive environment at ADT’s home, The Odeon – 57A Queen St Norwood.

Each workshop includes warm up, skills development and creative dance activities inspired by the company’s current work in development.

Roll into the autumn school holidays with some fun workshops at Windsor Gardens. If you haven’t been to a gymnastics class before try an Intro to Gymnastics ( ages 4+ no experience required) with an opportunity to experience all the main apparatus including beam, bars, trampolines while getting a taste of the foundation moves.

One of our classic sessions is the Handstands & Cartwheels workshop (ages 4+ no experience required) which is a focused session on learning and building upon your handstands and cartwheels as well as other floor-based skills. Who doesn’t want to show off a handstand or cartwheel!

For those with creative flair options include Rhythmic gymnastics (ages 6+ no experience required) to introduce a combination of gymnastics, dance and apparatus including hoop, ribbon and ball. Holiday Pottery Sessions for Kids at Urth Clay Studio

The human soul yearns for creativity. Some people like to follow a process where they plan first and implement second, others, however, want to jump straight into it and let their imagination fashion their work. Creativity isn’t driven by one way or the other instead, it is about inventing, experimenting, making mistakes, and most importantly having fun.

School Holiday Pottery sessions at Urth Clay Studio kids will work on pottery techniques like hand building, slab rolling, and more. Kids will try the pottery wheel and one-hand building project. One project will be fired to food-safe finishing.

Semaphore Steam Train

The Semaphore Steam Train, operated by volunteers from the National Railway Museum will be running every Sunday and daily throughout the April School Holidays (apart from Tuesdays and Thursdays), until the season ends on Sunday 1 May.

The trains leave from the Semaphore Jetty from 11am to 4pm, with trains departing about every 45 minutes. The 4km return trip to Fort Glanville along the seaside and sand dunes, takes about 30 minutes.

Group/Family (up to 2 adults and 2 children) – $25

Tickets are to be purchased on board the train once seated.

THEY’RE BACK – and ready to be tracked down!

The South Australian Maritime Museum displays have been taken over by all sorts of maritime characters – of the LEGO® kind. Start your day off with a trip to the museum for a new and improved scavenger hunt. Use your Ship N Bricks guide book to find all the LEGO® characters that are hiding in the displays. There will be a letter with each character that will spell out a secret phrase. Find the letters, write out the phrase and go in the draw to win your very own LEGO® prize!

And the fun doesn’t stop there. The South Australian Maritime Museum will hold GooRoo Animation workshops where you can learn to create your very own movies. You will learn about making films, giving you a glimpse into producing an animated movie at a professional level.
