Activities are linked to the “My Time, Our Place” National Quality Framework for School Age Care, and includes a variety of fun activities at Mercedes, as well as very popular excursions, which vary across Spring, Autumn, Winter and Summer Vacation Care.
Activities on campus include gentle yoga sessions, Animal Capers, arts and crafts, and unique experiences like the “Make Your Own Bear” program. Excursions are always a highlight, including visits to AFL Max, a walk to Mitcham Village and going to see a movie.
Each activity or excursion has a learning outcome, which ranges from special awareness and the ability to move the body safely, to responding to diversity with respect, becoming socially responsible, and showing respect for the environment.
