Ah yes it’s that time of year again.. school finishing up.. holidays nearing.. the mad Christmas rush at the shops has begun.. Yes, it’s only a month ’till Christmas!!
It’s that time of year when you can’t drive anywhere in the neighbourhood at night without the little ones excitedly pointing out some Christmas lights.
The ritual of Adelaiders’ proudly decorating their homes with stunning displays of lights and Christmas scenes just has to be seen and appreciated. Once the sun goes down, our suburban streets are transformed into magical wonderlands.
Checking out Adelaide’s Christmas Lights is a fantastic outing for your kids. The warm weather, the longer nights and the excitement of Christmas drawing near means going on a Christmas light adventure is one of the ultimate pre-Christmas family activities.

UPDATE: *CANCELLED* the Lights of Lobethal Christmas festival in the Adelaide Hills, the largest community Christmas light display in the Southern Hemisphere, have been CANCELLED for 2019 until further notice due to the horrific fires. Our thoughts are with all affected in the Adelaide Hills at this time.
And there’s also the Adelaide Town Hall display and the giant Christmas tree at Victoria Square to admire.
Plan your trip, grab a few snacks, pack everyone in the car and enjoy a fun evening of free entertainment.
I'm a Mum of 2 girls (aged 7 and 1) and also one 4 legged fur baby sausage dog called Frank David. I work from home with my own graphic design business as well as lots of KiA hours spent in my home office. My family balance out the work/school hours with lots of beach time, walks, bike rides skates, scooters and surfs. We like being outside.

Our house address is on there as well but we only have one set of lights on the front! Same as Brooke said, most be on map from previous owners.
