Looking for a fun way to adventure with the kids these school holidays? Why not take your 4WD to The Bend 4WD Adventure Park for a day of off‑road thrills and family fun!
Picture this: you roll into The Bend, grab a trail map and head out into a playground of rock and log obstacles, sandy dunes, muddy tracks, steep inclines and descents, ideal for everyone from first‑time four‑wheel‑drivers to seasoned off‑roaders.
Each session runs for 3 hours which is plenty of time to take turns driving, spot wildlife, and enjoy the ride. Passengers are permitted (must be 14 years of age or older, 1 passenger per vehicle at a time)

Speaking of free places for a swim did you know Splash Town in Moonta (Yorke Peninsula) is totally FREE! It features racer slides, kids slide, large tipping bucket, water mushrooms and more, with most under shades.

Go for a Family Bike Ride
Kids seem to be able to spend ALL DAY on their bikes, don’t they? Don’t they get glute burn like us adults? When it’s hot in Adelaide, it’s really bloody hot. So here are some great parks where you can find FREE shade, water, and some playground fun to keep the kids happy and the electricity bill down. As always PLEASE be very careful with your kids around water. We love kids exploring, having fun in nature and having a splash but you need to watch them at all times! And don’t forget to slip, slop, slap and wrap!

Belair National Park Holiday Park is a family run holiday park only 11km from the CBD. The park is situated in the picturesque Belair National Park and offers accommodation to suit all budgets and guests needs. You’ll feel the serenity as you arrive and breathe in the fresh eucalyptus filled air. From glamping eco tents to cottages and powered/unpowered caravan and camping sites, guests can choose the option that is most suited to them and all within a stone’s throw from the walking trails, adventure playground, tennis courts (BYO racquets) and mountain bikes tracks that are scattered throughout the Belair National Park and surrounds. During summer months, everyone loves the pool and school holiday movie nights. There's plenty of trails and mountain bikes tracks suited to all ages and levels – the family could spend days exploring, looking for koalas, emus, kangaroos or the odd echidna.
