NumberWorks'nWords School Holiday Program

Once again, NumberWorks’nWords is running their very popular School Holiday Program in January 2019.

This is the perfect opportunity to kickstart that resting brain after the long break before school starts next year. It is so important to hit the ground running and our students who start the year well, keep the momentum all year. The first weeks of Term 1 are critical and when teachers are deciding how they will teach each student.

Each student’s program is individualised and tailored for students commencing years Prep to 11 in 2019. The focus is to consolidate work and get a head start on the new work.
Sessions will run on Monday 20, Tuesday 21, Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 January 2020 only. Sessions are 2 hours. For best results, we recommend attending all days and to focus on one subject but you may choose selected days and to do both English and maths. Places are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Whether you want to focus on English, maths or a little of both….let them know. The choice is yours. All sessions are catered to the individual.

Lots more coming soon…

A prisoner has escaped! Can you solve the clues to catch the crim before it’s too late?

Upon arrival, you’ll be inducted as official Adelaide Gaol guards with the task of solving an escape. Help us solve the mystery and we’ll bring the inmate to justice!

Join us these school holidays for one of Adelaide’s most exciting adventures. Since its opening in 1841, Adelaide Gaol has housed approximately 300,000 prisoners. There have been a number of famous escapes – including one ingenious (though unsuccessful) attempt in 1983, where a prisoner took his pyjama coat to an art class and painted it to resemble an officer’s uniform. To add to his ensemble, he even created an impressive officer cap out of a biscuit box!

Situated in the picturesque Adelaide Hills and only a 40-minute drive from Adelaide, the park offers an up-close and personal experience to an extensive range of Australian and exotic animals, birds and reptiles.

There’s also a variety of exotic animals to be seen, including family favourites such as Meerkats, Otters, Alligators and a number of monkey species. If that’s not enough, have a cuddly encounter with one of the beautiful koalas. An experience you don’t want to miss, they come out for holding every day at 11.30am, 1.30 and 3.30pm (subject to conditions). At these times you can hold or pat the koala, take your own photographs or just learn more about these beautiful marsupials from one of the friendly keepers.
