Tony & Marks have a great fun range of Eater Eggs and alternatives. We absolutley love the Papi Pistachio Egg this year, Australias first pistachio Easter Egg! A stunning home made chocolate (as well as ice cream and gelato) shop in historic Stirling, any trip up the freeway into the hills is made so much sweeter with a visit to Hokey Pokey.
Look out for them at various festivals and events around town with their van, but where ever you see them, Tim and Helen’s creations are absolutely superb.

These are a great little Easter treat that the whole family can join in on making. So fun and easy and YUMMY! Thanks to Jess from Cook n Create for this great Easter idea. Ingredients 200g chocolate broken into pieces (TIP: You can always mix chocolates to make up the 200g)85g Shredded wheat (You can also use Cornflakes, Rice crispies, Weetbix etc – Whatever cereals you have just make sure they are crushed)2 x 100g bags of mini eggs Method Melt the chocolate in a small glass bowl placed over a saucepan of barely simmering water (Do it slowly – Believe it or not chocolate burns really easily!)In another bowl crush the cerealPour the chocolate over the crushed cereal and mix thoroughly (A metal spoon is easiest)Spoon the mixture into the 12 cupcake cases (Use a cupcake tin if you can to keep the shape)Use the back of a metal teaspoon to firmly press the mixture into the cases. Make a little dip in each nest for the eggs to sit.Place ¾ mini eggs in each nest and chill in the fridge for an hour or so. ENJOY!

I remember a few years ago, once the kids were sound asleep, I sat down with a wine in hand & put a Christmas movie on to wrap their Christmas presents. When I saw the sheer amount of gifts I had bought for them over the year (to “put away for Christmas”) I was disgusted with myself. There was an endless amount of STUFF that they didn’t really need, that I knew deep down would get played with for five minutes before being discarded & that I knew would end up in landfill before long. From that Christmas on, I promised myself I would never just buy STUFF again. Sure, I always make sure there are a few fun gifts for the kids to unwrap, along with anything they might actually need, but EXPERIENCE GIFTS have become the number one Christmas present in our house.
