Join us for an exhilarating adventure brought to you by a dynamic collaboration between the University of South Australia (UniSA), Adelaide Planetarium, Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries, and the renowned 360° underwater videographer and marine scientist, Carl Charter!

We are thrilled to present an engaging and educational narrative that showcases the incredible biodiversity and MEGAfauna of the Great Southern Reef (GSR). Get ready to be amazed by:

GSR MEGAfauna: Discover the ecological significance of the awe-inspiring marine giants – humpback whales, grey nurse sharks, sea lions, eagle rays, and bottlenose dolphins.

• Cultural & Historical Connections: Learn about the deep-rooted ties of First Nations people to Sea Country.
• Marine Parks Sanctuary Zones: Uncover the science behind these crucial protected areas.
• Cutting-edge Technology: Experience the latest in camera and dome projection technology for an immersive visual journey.

Project Activities:

• Content Creation: UniSA VR Lab staff has edited never-before-seen 360° videos of humpback whales, grey nurse sharks, sea lions, eagle rays, and bottlenose dolphins captured using state-of-the-art cameras.
• Dome 360°Projection**: Immerse yourself in breathtaking video content, projected in Planetarium Adelaide’s dome for a captivating educational experience.
