@Birdwood PYO Cherries Season Opening

PYO Cherry season is almost here, with @Birdwood PYO Cherries opening from December 13, 2025!

From the 13th of December, Birdwood PYO Cherries will be open daily 9am–4pm (closed Christmas Day and on catastrophic fire danger days) until the cherries are all picked out. Mother Nature runs the show of course, so any unexpected closures will be announced via their socials and website.

Bookings aren’t required — just turn up and get picking. (Because honestly, who can get to a booking on time with kids anyway?!) Large groups are welcome, and buses can be accommodated too. If you’d like to give them a heads up, great — but it’s not essential.

Pricing

Final pricing will be announced the day before opening due to seasonal and industry conditions.

BUT — and this is important — their pricing structure is different.
If you’re used to kids filling buckets, only to gasp at the cost at the exit, Birdwood might just become your new favourite. Their system is pre-paid entry with cherries included — so you only pay extra per kg if you want more than what’s already part of your entry.

Entry Fee

The entry fee includes approximately 500g of cherries to take home, plus cherry snacking straight from the tree (because that’s half the fun!). Pricing will be confirmed closer to opening, but rest assured — no surprise weigh-ins at the end.

So to summarise — you pay an entry fee, cherries are included, kids can pick and eat, and you only pay more if you want extra. Simple!
