Get ready to gather ’round the cosy firelight this winter at Adelaide Botanic Garden! Join in on a magical journey through a wonderland of flaming sculptures that will dazzle and delight!
The amazing artists from Compagnie Carabosse are bringing their French flair to create an enchanting experience for all ages. Imagine thousands of handcrafted firepots and mesmerizing sculptures, along with live music and candlelit pathways—it’s like stepping into a fairy tale!
For three weeks only, the garden will be transformed into a magical world of fire and light. Explore the pathways, blaze your own trail, and let your senses feast on the fiery delights and elemental wonders all around you.
No matter who you are or where you come from, the Fire Gardens are waiting to ignite your imagination and spark unforgettable memories!

DURATION:
This is a self-guided event through a curated immersive space – please allow 60 minutes to enjoy the full Fire Gardens experience at your leisure.
The Fire Gardens flames will be extinguished at approximately 9:15pm so be sure to arrive promptly for later sessions.

Last night, we experienced the magical opening of Fire Gardens for Illuminate Adelaide, and it was beyond brilliant. If you’re planning to take kids, here’s what you need to know:
Stay Close: It’s dark, so keep your kids close.
Footwear: Wear flat, comfy, sturdy shoes—there’s lots of walking, sometimes on uneven ground.
Facilities: Several toilets are available inside the gardens.
Pram-Friendly: You could bring a pram, preferably one with robust tyres for off-track walking.
Food & Drink: Evergreen Deli is open, and you can enjoy an alcoholic drink. We loved the Bowden Brewing Event collab stout—think coffee, chocolate, and coconut in a funky glow-in-the-dark can!
Supervision: Flames and fires are everywhere, from ground level up. Kids will need significant supervision.
BYO: You can bring your own food and drink. Just remember to take your rubbish out with you.
Must-See: Don’t miss the swings!
Respect: Treat the gardens with respect and stick to the dedicated paths and viewing areas.
Parking: Limited: Take the tram, or try parking on East Terrace or Hackney Road.
Fire Gardens is an enchanting experience for the whole family, but be prepared and stay safe. Enjoy the magic!
