Gather at the Market Before the Game
If you’re heading into the city for Gather Round, start your Sunday with a relaxed morning at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market.
From 8:00am families can grab breakfast and coffee before the market bell rings at 8:30am, when more than 100 South Australian farmers and producers open their stalls across the pavilion and outdoor areas.
There is plenty happening for kids, including inflatable games under the verandah and a special Kids Corner activity where children can decorate their own football guernsey in team colours.
Sparkles the Face Painter will also be inside the Market Pavilion from 9am to 12pm offering creative designs and team colour face painting (small fee applies).
Live music adds to the atmosphere with The Ukes, a cheerful group of ukulele players performing outdoors under the red umbrellas on the lawn.
Families can shop for fresh seasonal produce, bakery treats, cheeses, meats and ready-to-eat breakfast options while meeting the farmers and producers who grow and make the food.
You might even spot MasterChef favourite Poh Ling Yeow at her Jamface stall inside the pavilion.

The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market runs every Sunday and is located just minutes from the CBD with easy access by tram, train, bus, bike or car.
