A guided tour of the Hallett Cove rock pools (intertidal reef)
This is a great way to learn about our fascinating and unique rock pool plants and animals. Participants will have an opportunity to participate in finding and identifying marine life on the intertidal zone.
No swimming or snorkeling required, water is mostly ankle deep.
Where: Hallet Cove intertidal reef
When:
Cost: $5
Meet: at picnic tables by the foreshore playground
Bring: covered toe shoes (they will get a bit wet), camera, hat, sunscreen, a drinking water bottle and your curiosity!
Ages: Suitable for ages 5 to adult.
IMPORTANT:
– Please be sun-safe.
– This event is open to children over 5 years, however parents need to be responsible for and accompany their children on the reef ramble.
– Accessibility: there are stairs between the reef and carpark. The reef surface is uneven. Not accessible for strollers or wheelchairs.
