Rundle Mall 50th Birthday Celebration
Rundle Mall is turning 50, and the whole family is invited to celebrate!
From Tuesday 1 to Sunday 6 September, Rundle Mall will come alive with a week of birthday celebrations, with live music and dance, free activities, nostalgic displays and plenty of opportunities to make some new memories.
Kids will love the Merry-Go-Mall, with free carousel rides running throughout the week, while the Photobooth & Memory Lane at Gawler Place Intersection takes visitors on a trip through Rundle Mall’s history, from the days of cars travelling along Rundle Street to John Martins, John Farnham and Dazzeland.
The celebrations will reach a big finale on Friday 4 September at 5pm with the 50th Birthday Parade, featuring performers and music as the Mall transforms for a spectacular celebration of 50 years.
There’s also The Piazza on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, where you can relax and raise a glass while enjoying the birthday celebrations.
Whether you remember Rundle Mall from decades ago or you’re making your first memories there with the kids, there’s plenty happening across the week to celebrate this Adelaide icon.
