St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight
Adelaide’s most loved Christmas tradition is back for its 81st year!
St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight returns to Elder Park on Saturday 13 December 2025, bringing all the festive magic, music and community spirit we know and love.
This year’s event will be headlined by international music legend Leo Sayer, along with beloved children’s performer Emma Memma, making it the perfect night out for families of all ages. Hosted once again by 7NEWS Adelaide’s Rosanna Mangiarelli, Will Goodings and Amelia Mulcahy, the event will also be broadcast nationally, showcasing the magic of Adelaide’s Carols to homes right across the country.
Families are encouraged to arrive early, pack a picnic, and soak up the festive atmosphere. The City of Adelaide Pre-Show Concert kicks off from 5:00pm, followed by the main event at 8:30pm and a spectacular fireworks finale.
There’s plenty of free entertainment throughout the day, and more exciting performers will be announced in the lead-up to the event.
Can’t Make It? Watch from Home!
If you can’t make it to Elder Park, you can still enjoy the magic of St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight from the comfort of your home. The event will be broadcast nationally on Channel 7, with airings on 7Two and 7Plus.
There’s nothing better than celebrating the festive season, singing along to all your favourite Christmas carols with those you love. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Adelaide!

Tips for Families
- Get in Early for the Best Spot: To soak up all the festive fun and grab a prime spot, plan to arrive early! The City of Adelaide Pre-Show concert kicks off at 5.00pm, but there will be fun activities from 2:00pm so bring a picnic blanket, settle in, and get ready for a great night.
- Prepare for the Weather: Adelaide weather loves to keep us guessing! Rain or shine, you’ll want to be ready with ponchos, blankets, and some warm layers – just in case. Remember, the last few years have had some wet moments, so come prepared!
- Keep the Kiddos Safe: For peace of mind, jot down your phone number on your child’s wristband just in case. And don’t worry – the lovely team at St John Ambulance SA will be there to help if needed. You can find them near the city end of King William Road.
- Food: Bring your own picnic or treat the family to a delicious selection of food trucks on-site. There’s bound to be something for everyone, so you won’t go hungry while singing along to your favourite carols!
- Sensory Space Got little ones who might need a time-out from the action? No problem! There’s usually a sensory space where kids can take a breather and relax for a bit if things get too overwhelming.
- Gold Class Seating: Want to be front and centre? Purchase a Gold Class seat! Not only will you get the best view, but proceeds go to St John SA. A win-win for a good cause and an even better experience – but hurry, tickets are limited!
