Trucks on Tour is a free community event hosted by the City of Onkaparinga, designed for children of all ages and their families.
This immersive experience will have little ones climbing into the driver’s seat, exploring the inner workings of the vehicles and watching them in action. Our dedicated Field Operations team provides information on the vehicles’ functions, where they are used, and their importance to the community. In addition SAPOL, SA Police Historical Society, Emergency Services and SA Power Networks will be on hand to engage with the audience and showcase the various vehicles essential for maintaining community safety and well-being.
With horns honking, lights flashing, and exciting demonstrations happening throughout the day, this event is sure to capture the imagination of children and adults alike.
We all need some down time every now and again, therefore, from 1-2pm we host a sensory hour. This allows families who seek a quieter experience to attend as horns and loud devices are silenced and demonstrations end. This year Spectrum Connect Inc. will host a sensory refuge along with a quiet activity zone. Other activities will continue throughout the event during this time.
To enhance your experience on the day, you will find a BBQ and various local food trucks where you will be able to purchase food, drinks and snacks. You are also welcome to bring in your own food and drinks if you prefer.
Gather your family and friends and enjoy a trucktacular day!
