The July school holidays can sometimes be a bit cold and wet, but that’s no reason for the kids to be bored! Circus is the most fun you can have indoors these Winter holidays! Kids aged 5 to 12 are invited to run away to Cirkidz in Bowden this July and discover the circus superhero within.

Ever tried stilt-walking before? How about bouncing into a foam pit or swinging on a trapeze? The friendly and experienced Cirkidz trainers will make sure everyone is safe and having fun at all times!

The hardest part is choosing what session to try. You can specialise in Trampoline and Acrobatics, Aerial Arts, or try a session that combines a bit of everything! Brand new sessions during these holidays include stilt-walking and object manipulation, and circus ninja obstacle courses…

Holiday pottery classes for kids aged 7-11 at Urth Clay Studio

Kids have wild imaginations. Urth Clay Studio is a place where children can explore their creativity. They can submerge their hands in the mud to reach places that regular conversations won’t allow. Our goal is to build self-confidence, trigger curiosity, and allow the artistic flair to bloom from each child. We do this in a fun, safe and creative way by relying on many different pottery techniques. We teach the child to evolve their concepts by planning, implementing, and then reviewing their pieces.

Theatre Bugs

These wintery holidays, bring the kids along to Theatre Bugs for some fun activities to keep their bodies and minds engaged! They offer 3 different programs, covering all age groups.

They have the Mini Bugs both Mondays for the 3-7 year olds. Each 3 hour session revolves around a theme (Fairy Tea Party & Jungle Theme) and includes craft, stories, dressing up, dance, drama, music and creative play. The fun-filled sessions are designed to stimulate your child’s imagination, and introduce them to basic performing arts skills while you enjoy some ‘child-free’ time! At the end of each session, the children perform a dance routine for parents/carers. Children are welcome to come along dressed in a costume!

For the film aficionados, they have Kids Camera Action! Perfectly suited to your budding filmmaker aged 8-16 in the second week of the holidays, they will write the script, act, direct, film and edit a short film over four days! Their Signature Film Making Workshop is a tried and tested program that produces the best results, in fact many of the films created in previous workshops have gone on to win national and international awards! Students make a short film and learn everything from concept, scriptwriting, directing, to acting and editing with the use of top quality film equipment and software. Led by our expert teachers, this is a workshop you do not want to miss out on!

Lastly they offer the Junior Holiday Program, for those aged 5-14. These holidays they will rehearse and perform Roald Dahl’s classic – MATILDA! Junior karts are suitable for kids 6 years old, with a minimum height of 100cm. The Boy with the Golden Fox

South Australian Maritime Museum

There’s a new LEGO® set in town – and they’re ready to be tracked down!

The displays have yet again been taken over by all sorts of LEGO® characters, but this time it’s off the seafarer kind. Start your day off with a trip to the museum for the new and improved scavenger hunt.

Use the Ship N Bricks guide book to find the 10 LEGO® seafarers that are hiding in the displays. There will be a letter with each seafarer that will spell out a secret phrase. Find the letters, write out the phrase and go in the draw to win your very own LEGO® prize!

And the fun doesn’t stop there. The South Australian Maritime Museum will hold GooRoo Animation workshops where you can learn to create your very own movies. You will learn about making films, giving you a glimpse into producing an animated movie at a professional level. Be inspired by the maritime objects on display, and create your own claymation boat or pirate to be the star of the show. If you’re a budding Steven Spielberg, you won’t want to miss this!

Around the World LEGO® Trail and GooRoo Animation Workshops at the National Motor Museum

The museum has over 300 cars and bikes on the floor – even some in the air – that have been made in countries such as Belgium, Ukraine and as far away as Spain. School’s out, but the fun isn’t over! Are you stuck for ideas on how to spend these school holidays? Northpark Shopping Centre is excited to announce their next school holiday activation coming up this July – The Lab!

A perfect opportunity for all families to get involved in some FREE fun for all activities these school holidays. There will be a wide variety of projects for the children to get involved with such as Bath Bomb making, Slime, Lava Lamps and crazy Elephant Toothpaste! Get the little ones together and take them down to Northpark Shopping Centre so they can embrace their inner scientist.

There is so much fun to be had at each amazing experiment and Northpark welcomes you to bring along your children to get creative. At the end of each activation, they can take their finished project home or show it off at school when they go back. The best part is that it’s all FREE! The kids had a great time last school holidays and they can’t wait to see everyone get involved again!

FREE Cheerleading Clinics

Cheerleading is one of Australia’s most exciting, up-and-coming team sports. Combining the best elements of gymnastics, and dance then adding stunting, it’s a fantastic energy outlet that develops exceptional strength and fitness.

Heading into our 13th season, Adelaide All Stars are one of the most established cheerleading programs in the country! Your child’s experience is given top priority in our gym. Our athletes develop new skills, friendships and confidence that’s with them for a lifetime.

The Tote Academy – Unley Shopping Centre

Unley Shopping Centre is excited to announce their up-and-coming school holiday activation – The Tote Academy! In-centre activations provide a wonderful opportunity for families to get down to the centre and enjoy some FREE activities for the kids. The Tote Academy will be providing FREE tote bags at the activation allowing the kids to design and decorate them as they wish.

The Tote Academy is the perfect activity for budding artists, offering an opportunity to create something of their own. It’s also a great way to get the kids off the screens and out of the house during these school holidays!  Unley shopping centre is proud to offer this opportunity for the children to create something of their own, and what a great way to get a change of scenery!

Free LEGO Make & Take Workshop at Myer Centre Adelaide

Myer Centre Adelaide are hosting a FREE Lego workshop these school holidays.

During the week kids will build their very own Lego creatures & take them home to enjoy!
After building either a cat, train or Trolls character kids, will receive their very own Lego showbag with other goodies included in each one.
Staff will entertain, encourage and guide the kids through each workshop, giving parents a chance to sit back and relax!

Workshop recommended for ages 6+ years and older.
