If you like ducks then Balham Ave Reserve in Kingswood is the playground for you, sitting right next to the Urrbrae Wetland this is a small and fairly basic playground with a cool, apex rope/spider climbing frame and a dual swing set.
The centre piece of Balham Ave Reserve is a pirate-themed multi-purpose unit including a rope climb, slide and monkey bars and several other pieces of equipment which I don’t know the names for but were enjoyed by my three and five-year-old sons!
The playground sits off a dead end so parking is limited but its adjacent a bike path which provides alternate access. Facilities are limited with no toilets, tables or bins but there are several bench seats and ample natural shade. Drink fountains are a little walk away.
