Ahoy all want to be Pirates your tower awaits you. Bandon Reserve has had an ENTIRE UPGRADE  finished just in time for the warmer weather. It looks awesome and has been inspired by a nautical theme.

Overlooking the beautiful coastline of Marino, the reserve stretches out down a slope towards incredible ocean views. The reserve has a large grassed area, with a little hill in the middle that has now been utilised in the upgrade as a nature play area and is the centre piece of the play equipment. The nature play area has lots of rocks, sand, and plants for for the kids to play amongst and leads them to a timber deck and play telescope. The deck overlooks a new sandpit with a fab new boat within it. This would have to be a park favourite for the kids.

On the other side of the playground you can cross the bridge and positioned on top of another large sand area awaits The Pirate Tower. A great climbing frame with the challenge to climb the ropes and get to the crows nest. The play ground also features the original swing set with toddler swing along with inground trampolines. You will also find a treasure chest along with wooden balancing stumps.

The playground also features some sports courts that have been upgraded. You will find a half court basketball and netball court along with refurbished cricket nets.

Bandon Reserve is an ideal spot for the entire family catering for the active kids or kids who love imaginative play. The train goes past the top eastern end of the reserve which is also pretty fun for the kids to watch. The park features BBQ and sheltered picnic area .Unfortunately there is NO Fence, NO Toilets and NO shade but this is such a lovely play space for a family visit. The sunset views are just AMAZING

  • Where: Kooralla Grove, Kidman Park What a great little park this one is. With a fantastic range of play equipment, including some reasonably challenging climbing equipment to a playground with an enclosed twirly slide, this has something for most ages. It even has a heap of outdoor gym equipment but lets be honest, apart from sitting on the ski swingy one, nobody has ever used any of it....or is that just us? No toilets is the only let down here, but it has a BBQ, seating, a mix of toddler and traditional swings, several slides and is a really beautiful spot. There is no fencing but the river is about 100m away and it is in a nice quiet back street so you shouldn't have many issues.

  • Where: George Street, Marion The City of Marion have opened up yet another fabulous playground (they are really setting the standard aren't they), this time a spacious playground at George Street. With an in-ground trampoline, swing, sandpit, water pump and 2 historical-themed cubby houses, including a village store and a workers cottage, this one is really cool. There’s also a miniature fire pole, slide and logs to jump on and an upgraded 3-on-3 basketball and netball court. There's plenty of space (the oval and footy goals are just fantastic) for your doggo to run around, as well as a sheltered BBQ area. Oh and did we mention there are toilets? Because there are! We really enjoyed this one and there was plenty for our older boys to climb and swing around on, whilst also offering enough to keep the young ones entertained.
