Christmas at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market!
The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is gearing up for a month of holiday cheer, bringing you Christmas joy every Sunday from 3rd to 24th December 2023. The festivities culminate in a special Christmas Eve morning market and continue into the New Year with a market on Sunday 31st December.
Santa’s Arrival and Free Photo Opportunity (17 Dec)
On Sunday 17th December from 9 am to 11:30 am, Santa Claus will make a special appearance at the market. Capture the magic with a FREE photo in our festive farmers market setting – just bring your device, and our elves will take care of the rest. To kick off the holiday spirit, the SA Youth Guitar Ensemble will be performing live Christmas carols starting at 9:30 AM. Families can also enjoy a jumping castle, and a talented face painter will be on-site to add Christmas magic.
Christmas Every Week (Dec 2023)
The market has a sleigh full of activities planned for December, ensuring a festive atmosphere for the whole family:
• 3 Dec: Explore the market while finding the Elves on the Shelves, accompanied by the enchanting sounds of the Biodegradable Bards.
• 10 Dec: Enjoy the musical talents of the Ukelele Group and Concordia Quartet, plus make a Christmas Wreath at Kids’ Corner.
• 17 Dec: Santa returns for a Free Photo Op, a Jumping Castle for the little ones, and the enchanting tunes of SAYGE (South Australian Youth Guitar Ensemble) with Christmas Carols.
• 24 Dec: Kickstart your Christmas Eve with the Early Start Market (7:30 am to 11:30 am) and heartwarming Christmas Carols.
• 31 Dec: Welcome the New Year at the market with regular hours from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
