The MFS will open the doors to Adelaide Fire Station on Wakefield St right after Santa sweeps by on Pageant Day.
If you or your kids have ever wanted to explore a real fire station or sit in a real fire truck and see what it looks like inside, here is your chance.
Get ready as the roller doors open to South Australiaβs biggest fire station for the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) Open Day!
The MFS Open Day is free, and all are welcome to come.
Starting at 11am on Pageant Day (Sat 2 November), right after Santa and his reindeer fly past Adelaide Fire Station on Wakefield St, itβs the perfect post-pageant destination for the whole family!

π Meet other emergency services workers from CFS, SES, SAAS and more!
π See the fire trucks and equipment up close!
π See Road Awareness Program (RAP) team simulate a road crash rescue in real time β including a demonstration of a car cutting!
π§ββοΈ Watch a simulated rope tower rescue by specialised firefighters!
π An interactive fire safety education display for kids, including the βStop, Cover, Drop and Rollβ game!
π§― Learn more about the common causes of house fires and how to prevent them!

πΆ A special appearance from Deefa the Dog, the mascot of the APFF!
π Sausage sizzle, drinks and sweets for sale with proceeds going to CWA & APFF!
π» SENSORY SPACE: There will be a designated area to provide individuals with special needs and hidden disabilities a space to take a break and support their engagement with emergency services personnel.
