Santos Tour Down Under Adelaide

All the cycling action kicks off from 17 – 26 January with the Santos Tour Down Under returning with an action-packed line-up of cycling and custom racing routes that showcase the best of South Australia.

The festival will bring Australia’s most elite cyclists and para-cyclists – and all of their fans! – to our state. It will again showcase some of our most scenic backdrops to the nation and the world – from Barossa to Fleurieu Peninsula and Adelaide Hills.

• Adelaide Kids Zone – Free activities to keep the kids busy over school holidays? Yes please!Our Kids Zone in the City of Adelaide Tour Village will feature a giant TDU connect 4, a mural to be painted on, an interactive wall, rider cards, face painting, balloon twisting and more.

  The peloton post will be an opportunity for kids to write a letter to their favourite riders and drop it off into the riders post box in the Team Zone.

  The Kids Zone is packed full of fun and interactive activities to keep everyone entertained across the ten days of the event.

• The Tour Village – Welcome to the City of Adelaide Tour Village: home of the Santos Tour Down Under. This central city hub – found in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga – hosts the Team Zone, Bike Expo and activities for families and cycling fans of all ages.Free entry, bars with daily knock-off hours, ample shade and music make it a perfect summer destination. Relax and catch up with friends, or check out the latest in cycling tech. It’s all here.A recovery zone complete with ice baths will soothe tired muscles and help you get back on the bike to continue exploring South Australia.Together with a daily entertainment program, festival fans and recreational cyclists can settle in and watch as stages are live steamed on the Santos Main Stage big screen each day.The City of Adelaide Tour Village is open daily from 11. After an early coffee? No worries. Grinders on Tour Café starts serving at 7:00am.
• Health Partners Family Ride  (Jan 18) – Families and next-gen cycling stars: this one’s for you. Saddle up and get along to the 2025 Health Partners Family Day.This event is packed with excitement for everyone – and we’re thrilled to introduce the Tiny Tour! Youngsters (aged 5 and under) can hit the mini race track on tricycles and balance bikes for their very own FREE cycling experience.Meet the Santos Tour Down Under’s mascot, Oppy, for fun photos and then treat your tastebuds with a Tony & Mark’s cooking demonstration and enjoy some fruit cups. Parents can kick back in the shaded parents rest zone to recharge while the kids dive into crafts, face painting, and more.Ready to jump on the bike and get going? Register for the Health Partners Family Ride and put your new skills to use. Ride as many laps as you like, with more than an hour on the official Villawood Men’s Classic track.
