Your local library can be a real blessing! They are full of interesting and educational activities to help your youngster engage in reading and play. Below are some activities for the City of Holdfast Bay libraries.
Wriggle `n` Rhyme
This is a fun 30 minute session involving rhymes, action songs and music, suitable for babies and toddlers 0-2 years (but any age is welcome). No bookings necessary.
Thursday and Friday
This 45 minute session is suitable for pre-school children and includes stories, finger plays, rhymes/poetry, felt board stories, puppets, songs and craft. No bookings necessary.
Learn how to grow your own food and flowers, make a garden out of recycled material and much, much more!
Library Grubs is a monthly session for children and their parents or guardians. Ideal for children 5+ This session is held at Brighton Library on the 3rd Tuesday of each month January to November from 4pm-5pm.
Kids club is a book group for kids with fun games. Sessions are held Tuesday March 4, June 3, September 2 and November 4. Come to Brighton Library at 4 pm to see what new and cool books are available and have fun. Ideal for children 5+
The Programs Team is available to assist children, young adults and parents with advice on books, reading material and research for assignments.
