*NOTE: The Modbury Skate Park will close from Feb 3rd for 3-4 weeks during some upgrades and new lighting installation*
The Modbury Skate park near Waterworld at Ridgehaven is a great community plaza catering for inline skating, skate boards, BMX and scooters. Thanks to a half million dollar overhaul of the area in 2018, the plaza hosts terrain for various skill levels and is well loved by locals.

There is also seating, free wifi, picnic tables, lawn areas, a skate bowl, terraced walls, ramps and ledges along with shade available.

In a cool trial for the first six months of 2020, the Modbury Skate Park is trialing a solar bench, with the capacity to charge up to 10 phones at once! The free trial follows an agreement between the City of Tea Tree Gully and Adelaide-based company Specialised Solar Solutions who will monitor and maintain the equipment during the trial.

The skate park was selected for the trial site due to the number of people who use the site over extended periods. The solar bench has eight USB outlets and two Qi wireless chargers.
