Find it at: Oval Road, Mount Torrens
Put together by the talented team at Climbing Tree Consultancy (seriously they do some of the best playgrounds in SA), The Leckie Playground at Mt Torrens playground is another beauty. With plenty of natural shade, the lovely oval next door, bench seating, a picnic table, water play and some ripping nature play equipment for the kids to explore, this is a real winner. There aren’t any toilets however which was a shame.
We found it suitable for all ages and is just a relaxing, tranquil setting which is the ideal stop as you explore our beautiful Adelaide Hills.

Find it at: Mail Road, Harrogate This is definitely one to check out in winter for that added adventure! Opened in mid 2021, this hidden gem in the heart of Harrogate has been transformed thanks to a $140k investment from Council. In response to the township plan and bushfire recovery efforts, the Harrogate Recreational Reserve has received a much needed facelift. Upgrades include a modern shelter housing a new barbecue, undercover seating and power, walking tracks, signage, carved timber seating and updated public toilets. The new playground equipment looks great, with a flying fox, swings and enough equipment to make the trek worth while. We think this is a fantastic tucked away spot, which is great for those days exploring the hills. The adventure starts with a low water crossing at its entrance (we love this!!). Find it at: Glover St, Kersbrook Located behind the football oval, this fantastic facility opened in April 2021 and is yet another beautiful playground that has opened in the Adelaide Hills in 2021 (we really are building a great Hills Playground trail!). There are no toilets here that we could see, unless they were hidden behind the club rooms. The spacious playspace includes a huge flying fox, a cool sand play area, lots of nature play equipment (lots of logs), in-ground trampolines, swings and much more to explore. This one is suited for all ages and why not take advantage of the picnic seating and bench seating to have a nice lunch whilst on your hills road trip?

Find it at: The Springlake development at Mount BarkerYou'll find this playground within the Springlake development in Mount Barker. This is a small park with a slide, a few different swings, climbing logs and a great flying fox. It's a really nice quiet peaceful spot, great for kids who aren't keen on big noisy play spaces. No toilets and no shade but some nice big gum trees surrounding the park There's a great cafe called Pallet about 50m away....one of the finalists in our 2019 Adelaide's Best Babyccino competition!
