If you’re searching for an incredibly fun and vibrant family-friendly pub dining destination in Adelaide, look no further than the Peninsula Hotel Motel at Taperoo! It’s such a find, honestly. This vibrant spot offers an amazing $13 kids meal that comes complete with a drink and dessert, making it an affordable choice to feed the kids. The full menu is packed with fresh and classic options ensuring everyone leaves happy and satisfied. It’s the perfect place to relax where every one will be catered for.

One of the standout features of the Peninsula is its large, bright, light-filled dining spaces, which are designed to make families feel right at home. The real highlight is the retro caravan inside the dining room serving as an exciting ordering counter!

Kids will love exploring the quirky decor, and the adventure doesn’t stop there. A massive bus sits ready for little ones to explore, making dining here feel like an outing in itself. Plus, if you’re planning a special celebration, the bus can even be booked for parties or private events—what a unique way to celebrate!

This venue run some excellent school holiday workshops for kids – we went along for slime making and at just $20 per kid followed by a kids meal with drink and ice cream, it was an absolute winner.

Every visit to the Peninsula feels like a new adventure, with exciting happenings all week long. From Friday night two-for-one cocktails for the adults to Italian night on Wednesdays featuring delicious pastas starting at just $15, there’s always something fun on the menu. Whether you’re heading out for a casual meal or looking to celebrate a special occasion, the Peninsula Hotel Motel is sure to create memorable moments for your whole family!

  • Zeea's Eatery, exclusive to the Tony & Marks retail experience, is basically the superhero of Adelaide dining spots for families. Picture this: you walk in with your squad of mini-humans, and instead of getting the side-eye from fellow diners, you're greeted with sympathetic nods, quick, quality caffeine offerings and knowing smiles. Talk about seeking refuge in the comforting embrace of good fresh food and understanding company, with a side serve of epic kids offerings from breakfast to treats/snacks and of course lunch menu options. Let's talk about the menu – it's like they've cracked the code to kid-friendly cuisine. They've got all the classics, from bacon and eggs to pancakes and toasties, guaranteed to make even the fussiest little critics nod in approval. We love the sensible sized milkshakes, babyccinos for little hands and kids pancakes. The kids portion sizes are perfect and keep the price really reasonable. Team their locations (aside from Cavan) with the convenience of shopping fresh and fine produce and this place comes up a winner time and time again. You know the drill..... it's Saturday morning, you've done the sports game, kids are starving and you need to tackle the grocery shop next? Zeea's hits…

  • We have found the most fantastic family friendly B&B - it's Shellwater @ Sellicks Beach on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula! This holiday house will easily sleep two families and is well equipped with everything you need for a great stay. It's only a short walk to Sellicks Beach, with beach access and has a playground at the end of the street! Perfect for a couple of families or groups of friends looking for a Fleurieu beach getaway! Oh and it's also dog friendly! We stayed recently and couldn't fault this gorgeous beachside house. From the get go, our host Belinda was helpful and accommodating throughout the booking process and kept us informed of everything we needed to know for check in (super easy by the way!). The first thing you'll notice when you arrive is that Shellwater is on a HUGE block, perfect for heaps of outdoor games and activities, plus it is fully fenced, so kids (and dogs) can run free! The kids were so excited to see the big tubs of balls, bats, frisbees, even super soakers on the deck as we made our way to the front door. As we walked inside, it was evident to see…

  • Find it at: Esplanade Largs Bay The Largs Bay foreshore play space redevelopment in 2024 brought to life an amazing concept which feels like came straight from the imagination of us as kids! This one is a very popular site with local and visiting families and the new ice cream themed playground is sure to make it even more popular. We love when councils and designers think outside the box to create imaginative play areas for the kids. This one is the talented work of local business Iguana Creative. With toilets, shelter, BBQ plus the existing basketball and other facilities, this is a brilliant beach side spot. The new playground includes; Climbable soft serve ice cream cup with slide Inclusive mound slide Accessible trampolines Climbing tower with large tunnel slide Two swing sets Cherry sculptures Alternative communication boards Informative and sensory ice cream sculptures Ice cream scoop with monkey bars Banana split themed inclusive see-saw Accessible carousel Rubber soft fall ditch with domed climbing net Picnic setting. image credit Iguana creative image credit Iguana creative
