Port Augusta Skatepark opened in 2010 and is still a fantastic community space in great condition. There no bowl per se but a large but accessible kinking bowled type area. It’s got a beyond vert half pipe section known as ‘the wave’. A smaller, beginner and transition area and a perfectly sloping downhill street skate section. Close to facilities, this is well worth a look on your trip up north.
Barmera Skate park is situated on beautifully manicured lawns overlooking the lake and hosts a good combination of interesting features for all ages. *Bonus- only a 5 min ride to the skatepark from the caravan park! Find it on the corner of Whitmore Ave and Nookamka Terrace, Barmera [wpgmza id="138" cat="1" marker="882" zoom="16"]
Waikerie is a more traditional skate park that unfortunately sits under some big flowering Eucalyptus Trees that drop a lot of leaves and gumnuts and required a big sweep out before we could jump on. A great park for BMX there's a bowl, flat rail, handrail, grind box as well as some other fun street obstacles including rail, ledge, grinder box etc. Find it at 58 Lawrie Terrace, Waikerie [wpgmza id="138" cat="1" marker="884" zoom="16"]
