• Harpers Field Playground, Golden Grove
  

  Find it at: One Tree Hill Road, Golden Grove (Golden Grove Football Club) A $14 million multi-use community building is being developed in Golden Grove at Harpers Field recreation area and adjoining Council-owned land. The project is partly funded by a $6 million grant from the State Government's Local Government Infrastructure Program. The playground includes a climbing tower, slides, swings and sand play. A contemporary community gathering space, lighting, car parks and landscaping will be delivered as part of the project. The facility will include new clubrooms for Golden Grove Football Club and Golden Grove Cricket Club.

• Marion Bay Tavern
  

  If you have ever explored Innes National Park, right down the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula, you would have driven past the Marion Bay Tavern. Might not look like a lot from the outside as you drive past (it is literally a minutes drive from the entry to the National Park), but this is a real hidden gem with spectacular views, incredible pizza and a really lovely place to take the kids. When we decided to spend the weekend exploring the deep south of 'The Leg', a lunch at Marion Bay was the first thing we locked in. The pizza here is quite honestly, some of the best we have had in ages. Anywhere. Even back in the city. It is just that good. Cooked in their unique corrugated iron pizza oven, it really is quite the pizza experience. Obviously being a fishing town, the local seafood produce is just spot on, so during our visit the Seafood Basket had to get a run and we loved it. To be honest, there are some regrets we didn't have a go at their famous Marion Bay Oscar, a 300g Scotch Fillet steak but that will have to wait til next time.…
