At a quick glance, you might think that West Beach Patisserie & Eatery is only for guests staying at the Big4 in West Beach Parks, but we are here to tell you that it is OPEN to the public, 7 days a week and your family are going to love some of the best coffee, food and hospitality going around! Legitimately, every thing this talented family touch in the hospitality space, turns to gold. Trust us, we have been following these legends around for a good few years now.
You are going to feel like you are a resort guest far far away (minus the exorbitant resort prices) as you sit amongst the potted palms, greenery and white umbrellas, sipping a brunch champagne and devouring your eggs benedict. The car park and venue entrance are very simply accessed from Military Road – no need to actually enter the park at all!
The small on site playground will keep young kids occupied while they wait for their food, and when it does come, sitting out doors is just the best this time of year and with kids in tow. Something about more space around you and less venue noise plus the fresh air. It just feels more relaxing doesn’t it? When they are done? Back to the playground, just a stones throw from the tables for one more round of floor is lava.
Our little crew loved the kids pancakes, and we appreciated the sensible sized chocolate milkshake, served in a big take away coffee cup with a lid and straw. Genius for little hands to manage. The idea of their ‘Kids Brunch Box’ featuring banana bread, veggie sticks, cheese, crackers, dried fruit and a fruit box impressed us too. Pretty much all of the food groups covered there, without anything deep fried – WIN!
The prices here are really fair, and the quality is superb. It’s real food, made and served by happy passionate people. Surprising how rare that is right?
The regular menu includes breakfast, all day brunch, plus some great lunch and dinner options (Thurs – Sun for the dinner options). There is also great coffee and cake and if you are eating, you can also now order a beer or wine! Seems like a fabulous spot for a birthday brunch celebration with a glass of bubbles to us! Hate birthdays? Bring Nanna for morning tea!
Tell your friends about this one, we can’t let it stay hidden away!
Open 7 days from 7.30am
Mondays – Wednesdays til 3pm
Thursdays to Sundays til 7.30pm
Breaky menu available until 3pm daily. Lunch / Dinner menu available from 12pm.
Make sure you pop into West Beach Patisserie & Eatery next time you’re west-side and need a meal that will satisfy the whole family!

We have officially found our favourite skate park in Adelaide and it's at West Beach Skate and BMX Park (PS - if you know a better one please let us know!). With something to suit just about every level of rider we love that our little beginners can scoot and skate somewhere where they can also watch and learn from those a lot older with awesome skills. Right next to the building that houses the toilets, covered tables and DaKlinic shop is a small skate bowl. With a graduated entrance, even the newest novices can find somewhere to enter and learn some skills. The bowl deepens to an intermediate level and you'll find most of the novice/intermediate skaters and scooters here, including many with great skills just learning new tricks. West Beach Skate and BMX Park also houses a huge half pipe where beginners and experts alike can be found (usually not at the same time though!). There are also a few grind boards and rails spread around the whole park area, with varying degree of difficulty. And just a few metres away is a huge bowl - we have only seen some pretty serious skateboards riding in here on…
Find it at: Burbridge Road, Westbeach Complementing the playground, Stage 1 of the upgraded area at Apex Park caters for a wide variety of ages and is great for catch ups, parties, a general play or hit of tennis. The fully fenced playground features lots of equipment over a quite large area. It is a bark chip surface, so with considering if unsteady on your feet, and there is unfortunately no accessible play here. If that doesn't rule you out, It's a bloody great park worth driving out of your area for. Best ages, honest opinion, there is not a lot of play for the under 3 yo's to play independently and not much for the 9 yo + in the play ground, apart from the oversized nest swing. Personally it makes a nice change here to NOT have water play. Some of us don't like it, especially in winter. Featuring lots of small to mid scale climbing opportunities including stairs, mini rock climb wall, a rope spider web tower, a mini spinning climbing frame and lots more. You will also find normal swings and the oversized nest swing. Throughout the equipment the kids will find fun activity games that…
Find it at: Hamra Avenue, West Beach The $2.9m 2024 development at West Beach Parks is a beautiful open space, tucked in the heart of the West Beach Parks precinct on Hamra Avenue.Developed right on the West Beach coastline, the plan includes the space being utilised for community events, recreation and play. They have also retained natural vegetation. Set on the unique coastal precinct of West Beach Parks, it also includes a kiosk (Oceanique Kiosk), shelter, BBQ, shade, toilets and other amenities. While there is no giant slide centerpiece here, the climbing structure is a huge drawcard taking pride of place in the middle of the play space. There is a smaller slide set on a hill, a great little selection of swings and some inground trampolines that have just the right amount of spring in them and ample opportunity to run, balance and play, just meters from the beach. Here is what this one has to offer; Rope climbing structure Small slide In-ground trampolines Swings (including baby swing and nest swing) Pack the kids bikes, as the new SAPOL Mock Roadway is right near by.
